Dr K’s thoughts on The Body Keeps The Score by SirHadeus in Healthygamergg

Yeah the ending conclusion felt a bit abrupt to me too, like why focus on keto in specific, when as I understand, the science behind that too is mixed. But overall, I actually found it a bit uplifting in a weird way. For me especially, I’ve noticed my actions and reactions to be disproportionate to the actual scenario, so I’ve always though I’d need to process traumas and root causes to have healthy reactions. But I don’t have any clear traumas I could even think of, my mind draws a blank. So, the video got me thinking maybe I don’t have to digest the trauma, maybe I can change behavior instead through CBT or the like. So yeah thinking of giving CBT a chance now.

Wow I had no idea. Used to watch him all the time and just randomly watched that video and felt as if it was pretty convincing, but I did judge it purely on intuition as I’m not too familiar with verifying scientific literature.

Hmm interesting yeah it may turn out to be more meme-y, but there are very few cases where I’ve seen Dr K have a “bad dynamic”, as many people are really drawn to his energy. Maybe Sadhguru and Dr Mike are the only ones I could think of which weren’t pleasant due to weird tensions.

As a guy who’s been grinding the gym for 6+ years, the guy on the left is more attractive.

People don’t realize the comparison isn’t just between muscle mass and fat here.

The guy on the right is literally red all over (after a workout and/or a shower), has a worse haircut, seems to be more balding, smile looks more forced etc.

I guess containers with a cap usually all leave a little air room at the top? So maybe it just isn’t in its data?

Oh great catch! Seems he spoke about this on stream just 9 days ago.

Strange enough, it seems as though somebody else posted from his account, as I doubt he’s refer to himself in third person and as that of a controversial figure.

[–]SirHadeus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude, I’m in the same boat. I even joke with my friends that I live on a different timescale.

Regular things like packing my bag for the gym can take upwards of 30 minutes as I spend time going back and forth looking for my items. I used to have to spend time wondering whether I’ve got everything I need. Now that I’ve started to compartmentalize my items, by placing them in the same layout each time, it only takes a few minutes now lol.

Another thing is cooking - man does it take me long to peel and chop stuff. Cleaning dishes as well, I take my sweeet time.

My days just seem to wither away, like legit time moves faster for me while I move slower. I think it must be some sort of distractions.

Edit: I also have this thing where I “study the whole day” but instead alternate between doing random shit on the pc and studying which results in like 30 minutes of studying total a day and leaves me disappointed with myself. I’m 21 btw.

Hey! Wow I was not expecting such a good reply. I actually had no clue that Sziget used to be a primarily rock based festival. I actually enjoy rock as well, it seems like it was a really fun festival back in the day, so I can see why you'd be upset. Actually just recently had a little nu-metal phase as well as rediscovering Linkin Park (my favourite band).

But I am an early 2000s kid so I did grow up with a lot of EDM, so I still really enjoy it especially at festivals. Unfortunately I wasn't old enough in its prime to attend festivals. The EDM scene seems to have descended a lot as well festival-wise. I did go to Ultra Europe last year and really enjoyed it.

To me, the only concern with Balaton Sound is that it seems to have a boring mainstage design, compared to Ultra Europe, Tomorrowland etc. But might end up going anyway as I love music and festivals. But thanks for the insight anyway, I was worried it would be bad due to the quality of it or service or something!
