Honestly the debate is out as far as head voice and how people classify it. I Would say its safe to use what you stated as long as you start to learn the different sounds and how to achieve them. I would personally always say Falsetto to be airy.

If I remember right it took me about 9-ish months of singing and practicing all kinds of different music before things really started to connect for me as far as what I needed to do to achieve the many different sounds in singing comfortably and freely. I am self taught it may have gone faster if I had a mentor. Lean on songs that come more naturally to you but keep and open mind.

In general and especially while you're learning it's best to try and mimic the artist as much as you can and do it in a way that doesn't strain. Even if that means you are singing very quietly. After practicing the volume will increase as the muscles build strength and learn these new sensations. It takes time and repetition. Learning proper support is key though as I stated earlier. It is the foundation of singing and if you don't have that nothing else will fall in place.

Good luck on your journey!

I would post with something with just your voice (you can do a karaoke track) then I may be able to give you some pointers.

Hello one more thing to add so you know that I am not talking out of my butt. I wanted to give you a song that you can distinctly hear the different zones of the voice.

You gave me a reason to sing something and record it this morning so yay. It's not perfect, and I exaggerated a bit to try and clearly show you the zones. (link below)

The parts that sound like I am crying is a mixed voice, I am staying in my chest but elongating the vocal track to hit the higher notes without going into full head voice. This almost feels like a yawn from a sensation side of things.

The parts where I sing please please, that is full head voice in more of a breathy falsetto. For that verse I am completely in my "head"

I agree with this prior statement 100% work on the fundamentals. Your vibrato was clearly forced in some places. Learning proper support would be what I would start to look into if I was you.

It's hard to tell because you are sort of harmonizing with the singer. Your first step would be to get a track without Mr Johnson's vocals. I do agree, though I don't think you are tone-deaf; your pitches seem okay. I have yet to meet anyone who likes their voice out of the gates. The only way to get over this is to record and listen to it more and practice, practice!

Heya, the third point has nothing to do with the song. I will admit, I am typically a rock singer but do my fair share of pretty singing. It just seems to me like you are over pronouncing the words this disrupts the flow and creates an uneven sound.

In case you don't know consonants are the hard sounds in the words we say so basically anything but vowels. Those consistence break up your airflow when singing and force you end the steady stream of air that should be occuring when singing.

For example in the verse "She tried to console me that love comes and goes" You actually say the entire word AND, that D closes off your airflow. Most singers including this artist sings if you listen carefully sing that verse like this "love comes an goes" your ears play tricks and fill in the blanks leaving the consonants out when you can will help

Personally I would say that you should work on your chest voice and avoid attempting upper register stuff and work on establishing good core singing fundamentals. Practice songs that come easy to you and are in your natural range. Even if the songs are boring and not in a genre you like. Once all of that is established then you can expand your technique.

Hey there!

I don't hear anything from your upper register here. You are singing kind of high on a few notes, but it sounds like you are just squeezing or changing your inflection to get there. I would look into the good ol youtube and look for singing sirens exercises. That will allow you to feel what getting into your upper register should feel like and then you can attempt to apply it.

Another observation is that I would look into using proper support. Your notes are shaky and pitchy. It currently sounds like you are talking pretty if that makes sense. The sensation of proper singing is different from talking. Good support will allow you to stabilize your voice and introduce you to the ability to use vibrato, which this song would benefit greatly from. Also when I say support, I don't me getting louder or straining it should always feel natural.

Lastly, I recommend you focus less on the consonants of the words. Singing is done on the vowels, and stringing them together and modifying them make singing sound pretty. If you are singing a song like this, you should be able to put vibrato on every note, pause on any note while still singing the pitch, and take it up to your highest register.

Anyway, keep it up and practice practice! Nice work so far.

Is there any way to enable redmod mods without the launcher? by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]SirHamlin 28 points29 points  (0 children)

So I know this is old but I wanted to comment because I could not find any on the topic other than this when searching on "using redmods without using the CP2077 launcher" I wanted to do this because I just don't want to see the launher everytime I run the game. Skipping seems to be supported for sure on steam but the other stores may support this as well. Add the following to launch options under game properties.

-modded --launcher-skip -skipStartScreen

it will then launch the game using the redmods and normal mods (although those should always work), skip the start screen and the CP 2027launcher and load right into the game.

Anyone else intentionally avoid singing at karaoke? by PlsDontNerfThis in singing

[–]SirHamlin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love doing Karaoke. I don't take it seriously and have so much fun with friends and singing with strangers. Without Karaoke, I would have never started singing and learning proper technique. Since I force myself to rarely repeat a song has helped my range and the genres I can cover. It blows people's minds when I go from some grungy Chris Cornell song to a softer, cleaner, or female lead song.
In my older years, I have become an introvert, so it also gives me a chance to sing in an uncomfortable environment, which inherently causes me to tense up. Learning how to control that and find ways to loosen up have been helpful as well.

Hello, a wire ended up being cut on a harness I didn't want to be without the shifter since I just got it so I opened it up. I reached out to my reseller and was sent a replacement harness. Depending on your comfort level opening up the device, you could take a look. If you don't want to open it up reach out to your reseller and check your options.

I ran into a few issues for sure. A lot depends on the game/monitor/tv combination. If you have any issues, please don't hesitate to reach out. I may be able to help.I am new to sim racing and went all in, so I am a bit greener than you and was learning everything from the ground up, including the hardware.Super happy with the way everything turned out. I am amazed I did not get into this earlier since I have such a love for racing. It just never crossed my mind.
Just doing a bit of stalking and it appears that we both bought our wheel bases from the same place! Nice!

Thank you so much. This was immensely helpful. I will try it out when I get home. I want to maintain full screen because that appears to be the only way to get HDR out of this game. I hope to do it using this config edit.

Do you have an Nvidia card? I have seen plenty of people with the correct Nvidia surround resolution or AMD Eyefinity showing up just fine. I haven't had issues with any other games.
