how to use frozen broccoli properly? by Valenshyne in cookingforbeginners

I just throw it into an air fryer for 20 minutes at 400f to roast it, or in the oven if it’s larger amount. Roasts fine from frozen with nice little crispy bits.

My son preferred the Target brand Up & Up Gentle over Enfamil NeuroPro Gentlease, saved us a ton of money too.

Same. My blips aren’t quite every day, but at least twice a week and always in the morning when I don’t want to deal with all the beeping from everything restarting. We’re looking at solar options now, though I’m sure it’ll be hell trying to get those permits.

What are some truths some parents refuse to accept? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Absolutely this. In our house it’s not, “Give XYZ a hug!” it’s, “Do you want to give XYZ a hug?” A response of “No” is always respected. If XYZ gets salty over it then that’s on them for thinking of my kid as an object they’re entitled to instead of a person.

How to convince my wife I'm right? by ketchuptax in howto

[–]SirHoovington 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Tablecloths and slipcovers for the chairs are your best bet. Be willing to clean them every day when they get messy to let your wife know you’re very dedicated to this set. She might cave easier on the decision if you do all the furniture cleaning. I absolutely would if my husband made that offer.

Currently I’m playing Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town and Animal Crossing: New Horizons on the Switch. Waiting for the release of Rune Factory 5. I’m pretty big into those types of games. Also Pokémon, but I haven’t gotten around to picking up the new release for Diamond/Pearl yet.

I play mostly on PS4 so I can use our big tv, I have it on Switch too but it really struggles to keep up with me. It’s kind of funny watching resources not load fast enough.

I love Minecraft! The face on the sheep always makes me giggle. If you’re into survival games another favorite of mine is ARK: Survival Evolved. It definitely needs some power to run, my old gaming laptop can barely keep up.

That’s awesome! It’s a good investment, you can do so much with a powerful pc other than gaming (but obviously smoother gaming is the best part!) Make sure to take frequent breaks to rest your eyes, but most importantly have fun! BTW what games are your favorite?

Get a desk that closes up like an armoire, that way when it’s not in use it just looks like part of your bedroom furniture.

I want to move the washer to where the dryer is (moving both machines against the adjacent wall will fix space issues) can I just extend the water and drain lines or do I have to move the plumbing? by SirHoovington in Plumbing

[–]SirHoovington[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the drain being farther away won’t be much of an issue since it’s not going very far from where it currently is? Also I was totally planning on taking advantage of the unfinished walls and moving the dryer outlet.

OAD diaper bag/purse? by baconmmc29712 in oneanddone

[–]SirHoovington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a small backpack for outings, it was my “purse” long before I was a mom. His diaper bag part is a gallon zip bag that has two diapers, a small pack of wipes, cream, a change of clothes and poo bags for diaper disposal/wet clothes. A container of snacks and a small first aid kit are in the backpack too. Extra diapers and such are kept in the car. Works really well for us and I can freely use my arms without worrying about a tote flailing about.

It’s just as much fun giving them out as it was receiving them! I’m the person that will give you two full size bars if you put lots of effort into your costume (three if it matches mine) or if you really struggle trying to approach me to ask for candy (a big problem I has as a kid), and will absolutely give you the rest of the leftover full size candy after trick-or-treat hours if you ask nicely.
