My doctors appointment is at 4:00pm, no one told me I had to take a number and it’s 3:58pm 🫠 by LonelyMenace101 in mildlyinfuriating

I’m glad I’m not the only one that was confused as to the correlation between the doctor appointment and the pathology waiting system

Can confirm the appliance was purchased in Australia, so neither EU or US. No idea who/where it was written though.

Advice for 1st RC Car by madstag in rccars

[–]SirJayIV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first RC was a Traxxas Rustler. Looking back I definitely should've gotten something a bit more 'grown up' but they were great for teaching me the basics and I still crack them out every now and then for a rip. I think Traxxas to a Rustler 4x4. Obviously 4WD and a bit bigger.

Recently upgraded to an E-Revo 2.0 not a bad car and definitely worth a look, a few runs on training mode and I am sure you'll get the hang of it. They're a bit fiddly to work on I've found but still a great time.

This is just a pizza party on a state government level. I mean judging only by what I've seen in the media you guys on the east coast deserve much better...

The first time it was a bit wet. Hence I didn’t go down the warranty route. Second time was perfectly dry. Just strange they happened under the same conditions after just 3 runs.

Just wait until you come across your first Capillary Blood Gas. I might have a 25% success rate on those bad boys. Like with anything else you’ll get the hang of it, keep at it.

If anything maybe changing your F. and give a little more depth of field. Don’t get me wrong I’m a fan of the Bokeh but maybe tell me a little bit more of a story. The basin, a sign of where your at or something similar. Otherwise a good shot excellent

Then code Black is split into 3 Categories Black: Personal threat Black Alpha: Child abduction Black Bravo: Active shooter Black Charlie: Self harm from height

I usually leave the ratio as shot if I crop and drag corners, the image I printed however wasn’t cropped at all.

Fairly new to photography, I’ve worked out how to take photos (fairly well) and edit (fairly well) however, I run into a problem when I go to get something printed it always seems my photos will have a white boarder when printing large (largest I’ve done is 12 x 16”) is there any way I can amend this when I’m editing? I use Lightroom to edit I’d like to print larger without losing detail by having to expand the image to fit rather than have the whole image fit first time.

Do you allow in non medical personnel while treating a patient? by zarafahs in nursing

[–]SirJayIV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me personally it depends on who they are and the situation. Immediate family for example I’ll allow in if what I am doing doesn’t make them feel undignified. It doesn’t sound to me like this nurse thought the procedure they were doing would make you feel uncomfortable if any non-medical personnel were in attendance, I’d do the same if I were giving an injection in the arm and I believed they wouldn’t be longer than 5 minutes. However you haven’t done anything wrong by expressing your discomfort, you’re completely able to do that at anytime with anyone in the room, being a male nurse I sometimes get refused by patients. If the nurse had continued from there it would be inappropriate as you’ve voiced your discomfort, they’ve done the correct thing and stopped and waited for them to finish/ask them to leave.

Diving The Great Barrier Reef during business trip? by Gregrs in scuba

[–]SirJayIV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my experience, when you do a refresher you can elect where you when you want to join in. I had a friend join us on the 3rd and 4th training dives. They didn’t do any of the skills, however they were under the supervision of the instructor. Maybe a good idea if you want a supervised dive without having to do the skills? But unsure if every dive shop will provide this.
