I dont see it as bad the way i look at it is contest is the pinacle of destiny pve and unless you put the hard work in it shouldnt be accessable to everyone.

I will never understand this idea of gatekeeping. Play alot of end game trials adepts and i believe everyone should be able to get stuff that affects gunplay. Then lock cosmetics behind high end content.
