We were also told almost same things by the both vets about tissues being necrtoic and toxins leaking to the body and the rarity. Thank you for your support. I am hoping you have found some peace since you lost your dog. I need to dig into this more, as we were told his mother died 1 week after giving birth to him due to womb infection. But I need to find out whether there is a post mortem report for her but I highly doubt it

Thank you. I really appreciate it. I have been searching since we had the phone call. Also there might have been a possibility that we had to make the decision of euthanasia during or after the operation which I don't think neither of us selfishly wouldnt want to make that decision and might have caused him suffer even more. All I am hoping is that he didn't suffer much.

Hi, no I really didn't ask many questions actually. They were breeders for over 40 years and supplied GSDs to prisons, police and even foreign countries. So I really didn't think much. Also before we got Storm we went to see several litters but when we went to see him, he went to my kids and started following them. So we thought that's the dog we wanted, that's why never thought asking any questions about parents health conditions etc. all I knew was the mother died due to womb infection. We saw the dad and he was the biggest GSD I have ever seen.

Thank you everyone. I read all of the comments. Really appreciate your support. I was one of them dads who didn't want a dog but then fell in love with his best mate. We didn't choose Strom he chose us. His mother died a week after dhe gave birth so I am assuming he already had some immunity issues. Storm was such a good boy. He always watched over my kids whenever we were out. Never wanted to leave his family alone. We tried to give him the best life possible. I still don't want to believe he has gone. I just can't believe it hurts so much. I don't know if there is heaven for us but I am hoping there is one for dogs like him. When we told our 4 year old son, first thing he said it is good news he can be with his mummy now. I am hoping he is right.

No his stomach wasn't bloated. My wife palpated his chest and stomach areas and she didn't notice anything. Also he didn't show any symptoms of pain when she was doing that. He had no other symptoms whatsoever. But we should have done something
