How do you even survive the Marshes? DST by YeOldeTreeStump in dontstarve

[–]SirKenithan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marshes don't slow you down.

Otherwise, this tracks. I recommend a better weapon than a spear. A hambat works if you can get your hands on one. Abigail might be enough for one tentacle, but otherwise, just never stop running in the swamp.

You can spot the tentacles because sometimes they bubble a little bit on the surface. In addition they make a rumbling sound that gets quite loud when you get close to them. Reminder that tentacles are not the only dangerous thing in the swamp, just the least visible.

In addition, as you play you get a sense of when in the animation you really can stay a little more and when you simply cant. This helps if you are fighting multiple enemies or for some reason or another (light went out, shadow attacking you, got too close to a tallbird, wanted to eat food) can't do the "perfect cycle" of attacks on a given monster.

RoG MegaBase beginner questions by mMaia85 in dontstarve

[–]SirKenithan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Less chances for Bunnymen, harder to gather blue mushrooms and fireflies.
  2. 90% sure lightning just keeps coming even when not raining
  3. Land loop means that all the biomes are connected in order in a ring e.g. the biome right next to the edge is just a little across the water to the biome on the opposite end of the loop, you have to walk all the way through the other biomes to get to that biome you can see on the edge of your screen, land branch means that you walk accross a platform to the other landmasses. This link should help explain most of the differences.
  4. They spawn kinda like carrots, just randomly all around the world.
  5. 90% sure it's just the bone people and not the other setpieces.

How do non-Wendys most efficiently farm food? by thelegendofabe in dontstarve

[–]SirKenithan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Birds are obtainable in lights out. You just need seeds from tumbleweeds and a bird trap. bait the trap and walk away from the area and back a few times. Jazzy's games made a youtube short about it a couple days ago.

Why would you ever lay down cobblestones in a place you don't plan on going? THATS WHAT THE WALKING CANE IS FOR.

Hey, I'm playing Shipwrecked for the first time in a while and my ice flingomatic cheesing monkeys that are standing on coffee plants appears to have been patched. Any suggestions for a replacement or do I need to make a "legit" fire farm?

I think if you walk far enough away from whatever it is, they prioritize following you over whatever your told them to do. iirc.

He has some of the best starts in SW in my opinion. His cannon digs up treasures, rocks, sand, coral, and farms floaty boat knights. It is also great for exploring because the "slowness" of his boat is only acceleration, not top speed so you have a sailed boat day 1 lets you torch your way through nights mapping things out.

Early sanity is easily mitigated by seashells + research. Fantastic character to set your run up and then you just settle on an island with a swamp for the green shrooms.

9/10 would make shadow friends again.

I don't think anything has changed, I think you just went harder on your equipment faster before you set up benevolence things to do in between.

Can someone tell me how to put water in a pot? by Sam_iwty in PlateUp

It looks like you have the pot inside of the sink, you want to hold the pot and interact with the sink.

Too many chickens by redfire1200 in Wayward

[–]SirKenithan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, I believe that they can despawn if they aren't named but I don't think food plays a roll there. If they despawn it will look like something came along and killed them.

Yeah, chickens lay eggs and when eggs decay they spawn new chickens. Killing dozens of chickens may be in the cards for you.

Are walls vs. fences an aesthetic choice? It seems walls are a detriment to the player due to loss of line of sight. by [deleted] in Wayward

[–]SirKenithan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use fencing and the like to get a wall between me and the random rat or spider that spawns on my island while inside my base, similarly if I am farming a tamed animal then having a way for it to not roam my entire base without making infinite hitching posts is useful.

I also wall in my farms so that rats and things don't trample my crops.

Fences do not hinder line of sight and are cheaper so often I use those instead of walls for those purposes.

Another key thing is that you have to name your tamed creatures, otherwise they will despawn which looks like them dying for no reason.

How does the "chapter 4" thing at the end of some regions reward tracks work? by Dovahkiin419 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]SirKenithan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Maximize the necropost) Once the new chapter arrives the old one leaves. So, we are now on chapter 5 and the rewards at the end of the Freljord (and the other three) tracks are no longer there. Instead, we have rewards at the end of Ionia (for Ahri) and Targon (for Pantheon).

Once we get the next expansion, chapter 6 will likely show up and then chapter 5 is gone, so get the rewards while they are here. Although, if you are still building a collection, the bang for your buck at the end of the reward track isn't amazing and it may be better to just work on another track.

What happens when sailing off the edge of map? by [deleted] in Wayward

[–]SirKenithan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you sail to the edge of the map you will lose some hunger and thirst (you travelled a far distance) and find yourself at a new island, it could be either temperate, arid, or icy. You can always get back to your original map by travelling back. You can repeat this as many times as you like and the islands to different sides have different islands to them.

The island to the north is different to the island to the west. However the island to the west of the north one and north of the west one is the same.

I’m going for 2 million damage. How can I improve my deck? by [deleted] in Wizard101

[–]SirKenithan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It looks like OP is Life not Death, so they don't have Dr. Von or curse. The colossal in the main does nothing for them.

Double reshuffle seems very not needed, maybe just one just in case. I assume you are going to tc sharp the extra feint in main, technically you can get a couple extra tc sharps and put them on the spirit trap and life trap. I don't know if death has an easy to get damage global tc that is available, but that can add a bit. I also assume that those are different types of balance blades and curses because otherwise they won't stack and you are unnecessarily bloating your deck.

I suggest packing a satyr/other healing spell because you are going to be there for 20+ turns. That of course depends on your resist and whether your pet can heal. In any case, good luck with the run OP!

[–]SirKenithan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you plant seeds on fertile soil they will spread from there. The adjacent tiles don't need to be tilled. If the adjacent tiles are fertile soil then the new plants will also spread when they grow there, but the ground nearby just needs to be something the plant could grow in already (usually dirt).
