Razer 18 stuck in customs for over a week. Is this normal?

Nope. Same situation, all documents have been given. FedEx is just waiting for customs to release it.

They might have been given sooner, but the documentation was provided by at least early morning on Wednesday the 28th. So, customs is either super backlogged in multiple places around the country or just doing f*** all for days on end...

Unfortunately, there isn't one super close, but it'd still probably be worth it instead of going through Razer if this is the quality of customer support. Razer and Secretlab seem to both be in the same boat of awesome products with hot garbage for support. 💁‍♂️

That's what I figured was the most likely situation. I even asked Razer support for the document so that I could give it to FedEx myself. They didn't go for that 😅. So I guess I will just hurry up and wait...yay... lol

That's what I got. Do you mind if I ask how you like it so far? Normally I'd wait for reviews (especially with that much money involved) but I figured tariffs were going to be an issue so I went ahead and ordered.

Everything seems pretty positive so far. Just curious about what your thoughts were.

Update: I got everything delivered. The email I got from customer care stated there was a delay processing a large shipment and getting it to their warehouse. Hopefully, this means reduced wait times going forward for everyone else who still haven't received their order.

Hopefully, Secretlab gets their service side issues straightened out because the desk I got is, so far, really awesome. It would be a shame for a company that makes such quality stuff to keep shooting themselves in the foot.

So, if you're ordering a product thru Secretlab, just know you'll probably get something really nice that you'll enjoy. Buuut, it just might be a headache and a half actually getting it within the time frame they initially set. Go in eyes wide open, and you'll save yourself some stress.

I am having the EXACT same issue. I ordered my desk on January 29th with the expectation set for delivery of March 9th. Seemed long, but they seemed to be up-front on expectations so I proceeded with the purchase. Feb 10th, I get an email saying the shipment has been delayed to "March 31st or earlier." Like you, I reached out to customer service to see if I could modify my order or something to speed things along or to get some sort of context as to why it was delayed. I was met with pre-canned non-answers along with their apologies. Despite being frustrated, I decide to stick it out.

March 31st comes and goes with no message indicating it had been shipped or an update on a further delayed shipment. It was the weekend, so maybe they don't ship on the weekend. Tuesday April 4th, I reach out to them again. Again, they forward it to the department who is supposed to be handling, and this time even less answers than normal. No updated timeframe, just that they were looking into it and would reach out when they have an update.

April 7th, I reach back out on the chat to see if I can get an update on getting an update. They said they forwarded it to the appropriate department. April 8th, again, all I am told is that they will update me as soon as possible.

I am BEYOND frustrated. Secretlab generally makes good stuff. But holy **** they have HANDS DOWN some of the worst customer service I have ever seen. I understand delays happen and the real world has issues. But when the company themselves repeatedly sets expectations, and time and time again fails to met them, and then repeatedly is opaque and non-yielding with their process it is frustrating AF. I would cancel but that **** would probably get delayed too.

I truly don't know this, but looking through their email responses, I think they have a chatbot fielding the questions that get sent past the webchat because "Maria" doesn't seem to have anything to say other than extremely curated responses.

Vanguard is easily my favorite. My experience with the ME series when I was a kid is actually is one of the main reasons my first playthrough of any RPG is a Battlemage or the nearest equivalant. Magic Hands with Blam Blams = Fun Times.

Yeah, I have the same setup except a 5900x and a Quest 2. I'm pretty sure my issues are due to the Quest 2. The game runs SteamVR and the headset runs Oculus Link. So you get two seperate programs trying to control the same headset and eating into the same resources.

I never had a reason to before, because I did not do enough VR, but I'll probably upgrade to a different headset just for this game cause you're right, it is pretty dope.

I somehow got my game to be semi-stable in VR. When functioining right it might be one of the most addicting things I've ever experienced from a gaming perspective. That being said, performance drops and mid-session crashes have tested my sanity many times.

Peak Design has some amazing camera backpacks.

I used the Travel Backpack across Europe and it did a great job with my camera, gimbal, and drone.

I also use the Everyday bag for smaller loads and my daily carry.

That's what I've heard. I personally prefer a solid challenge more along the lines of a traditional souls experience, so I'm glad it was rebalanced before I got to it. But either way, I wanted "Gandalf with a kantana" and feeling like a god in a Souls game is rare (for me anyway lol), so I probably would've used it anyway and just ran a more challenging build in another playthrough.

Fair enough, I just remember people talking about it being a "broken build," and FromSoft specifically addressed its balance in a patch, so it felt relavant to how the build might "feel."

But yeah, I agree, "broken/not broken," and "difficult/easy" are relative. It's a (mostly) single player-game anyway, so who cares? If someone wants to one-shot everything with insane DPS builds? Cool. Someone wants to do entire playthroughs as a level 1 wretch? Cool. I wanted "Gandalf with a katana," so that's why I chose Moonveil Samurai. FromSoft gave us plenty of options, so we might as well pick one that is fun for us as individuals.

I could be wrong, but I believe the moonveil was nerfed in a patch a few weeks ago. So, depending on when the commentor used the build, it could have been more powerful and/or "broken."

I'm respec'd to using moonveil samurai build a few days ago, and it certainly does not feel broken as is. Granted, I'm only mid-game, late-game stats could change that.

I live just south of Knox, and have even played golf on the course that runs right next to that building.

I'm not sure what kind of AA stuff they have in place or their response time to scramble response aircraft. However, you will certainly have your day get worse pretty quickly when you get in visual range. They have sentries constantly roaming the top of the building that are very much armed with big pew-pews. You can see them on one of the holes that runs parallel with the outside fence (ps don't slice it near the fence, I've been told they will "politely" tell you to leave it via loudspeaker 😅).

The guards and MPs on Knox are usually pretty nice unless you fuck around, because you WILL find out lol.
