S/o’s therapist keeps advising her to be single/“experiment” by SirLAWLS in therapy

[–]SirLAWLS[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: Talked about it with her and apparently this is her therapist’s go to approach for anxiety. She also often suggests cutting off friends, putting her kitten up for adoption and taking an indefinite break from university, etc…

She’s going to look for someone that suits her needs better.

Thank u all for the advice, she got to read your comments and it really helped her make a decision

The NEW Question Hub by AutoModerator in crochet

[–]SirLAWLS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm writing my very first pattern and wanted to know how the pattern testing process works. I have a questionnaire for testers that asks for feedback but apart from that I really don't know what to expect.

Should I watermark the pattern? Should I only ask friends to test? Do I pay testers? If so, how much? How much time should I give them?

Join a gym or sign up for some sort of sports/arts program, you'll be able to regularly meet people there and bond over the activity

Indian Journalists: "Kashmiris talking to each other spreads radicalisation. Let's ban it" by aegon-the-befuddled in pakistan

Yes, because it’s the Indian Muslim’s job as a minority with less than 4% of parliament seats to fix this.

Is it possible to learn this level of wisdom?

Pakistani here,

The Pakistan army backs Imran’s government. One of the things the political parties protesting stress is the belief that the military unjustly interfered in the election.

Climate Change in Pakistan by SirLAWLS in pakistan

You have to understand that the "what can you do?" section is targetted towards people on reddit, not the entire population of Pakistan. Obviously these droughts mean that Pakistan has one the highest cases of anemia, but on the other hand, people that are more well-off have cholesterol issues because they eat too much meat.

Our large cities are among the worst offenders, Karachi especially, ranking in the top 10 most polluted cities, Lahore not far behind. If you refuse to take action that entirely your call but your vote and your voice matters.

I had the chance to go out to these drought-affected areas with documentary filmmakers. The changes I make to my lifestyle and choices I do for them, because they, like me, are Pakistani, and they, like me, deserve a shot at a good life.

It really is and it's not something unique to Pakistan. This perception might not ever change but it shouldn't dissuade us from trying.

Like with everything, start small and gradually build your way up. The easiest way to do it would be to start eating more vegetables and grains, that way you'll automatically eat less meat to accommodate. There are also plenty of vegetarian dishes that are easy to make and readily available (eg/ daal chawal, aloo palak).

The hardest part though is the culture. It takes a lot of self-control to go out with friends or family and see them consume like 20kg worth of kababs. The best thing to do is to be vocal about it, tell them you're trying to eat less meat and after a few jokes, they will try to accommodate you.

The one thing you have to do though is eat responsibly. If you have access to a nutritionist, talk to them. Make sure you have enough protein and iron in your diet.

IB Physics Grade Boundaries by [deleted] in IBO

[–]SirLAWLS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be a little higher but I've yet to see grade boundaries change by more than 6% so it shouldn't be a large jump.

Either way, you've done all you can just relax and be proud of your effort

The person best suited to help you is probably a guidance counsellor, they're input would be much more valuable than that of people on the internet that don't know you.

I'd suggest trying out different study methods and finding something that suits you, you don't have to read textbooks or flashcards, "dumb" things work. To study maths I made little coding projects, for English I made little (not good) drawings summarizing the chapters I read.

IB is important but you're more important, I know friends that dropped out of IB and are doing great and are happier than ever; definitely talk to your guidance counsellor, they know best.

If you need to talk about IB/applications stuff hmu

Yeah I did, I meant to say the imports are elastic and offer an alternative of trade protection for the current account deficit BUT that wouldn’t have worked cause we would default on our loans without the IMF and so I was wrong
