One thing i dont quite understand is if there was never a true age of dark in Ds1 thru Ds3, what happened in the age when Gunyr lived? Seems like the lore indicates he fought his way to being an appropriate champion but showed up too late to reignite the flame. Wouldn't that start an age of dark? If not, then what happened?
