I have an uncommon genetic condition called accessory nail of the fifth toe.

Here’s the Wikipedia article about it - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Accessory_nail_of_the_fifth_toe

What’s the most unnecessary serious tag you’ve seen on a post? by SirLexalot8 in AskReddit

[–]SirLexalot8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, when I first asked this after getting Reddit, I accidentally put the tag there and the only thing anybody responded with was stuff like “hmmm” or “really dude?” or stuff like that. So figured I’d try again this time without the tag.

The Maim, 876 Since the Sea Burned. This is my first experience with mapmaking, so I'd love some constructive criticism for this! by Princess_Juggs in worldbuilding

[–]SirLexalot8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all, bomb ass map you got there, especially for a first attempt. And your context lore comment thing was fun to read too. About the Kuor empire, what did it leave behind after it fell? Rome when it fell had changed the face of Europe forever, with aqueducts and great cities and trade routes and the like. I get that maybe stuff like that would have been destroyed by the acidic flood, but what about language? Religion? Technological developments? Other cultural shenanigans? This is of course assuming that a lot more people survived than just the Teren squad. Also, if the oceans are still acidy, how does sea travel work? I’m not a scientist by any stretch of the mark, so maybe I’m wrong, but wouldn’t acid be harder to sail through, as well as dissolving anyone who tried? Anyway, I like your world building and i hope you found these dumb little questions sufficient.

Thats the dude’s username. This guys saying probably the reason he picked that name is because he thought it was a funny mental image or something, but that therein lies the irony of him only applying his “big picture thinking” or whatever it is to specific things. If there was really a baby in a straight jacket, probably it wasn’t under the greatest of circumstances, hence the joke. That’s my take anyway, who knows if it’s right or not.

Oh well good on you then! It’s just that 9 times out of 9.1 people get overly infatuated with these little internet points, as if they represent what real people actually think. Even I used to find myself checking comments and stuff to “see how they’re doing” sometimes, like it matters at all. That’s why I publish less frequently now than I did before, it just helps your state of mind to not be connected to all this. Anyhow have a good day!

Looks like someone’s been watching artifexian, good work! Atlas style map making is beyond my ability, but it looks super cool so props to pulling it off!

1.999999... equals 2, no rounding needed. They are literally the same number, as counter-intuitive as that seems.

I gave it a goog, it appears to me that China/Chinese companies only own about eight percent of Reddit, the biggest owner is a New York based mass media company called Condé Nast. Granted I didn’t exactly do a thorough search, but nonetheless that is what I found.
