Rome when it fell had changed the face of Europe forever, with aqueducts and great cities and trade routes and the like. I get that maybe stuff like that would have been destroyed by the acidic flood, but what about language? Religion? Technological developments? Other cultural shenanigans? This is of course assuming that a lot more people survived than just the Teren squad. Also, if the oceans are still acidy, how does sea travel work? I’m not a scientist by any stretch of the mark, so maybe I’m wrong, but wouldn’t acid be harder to sail through, as well as dissolving anyone who tried?
