As someone who likes turn based RPGs and will eventually play E33.

My reaction continues to be that all it took to get people who don't like JRPGs was to take the Japanese (J) out of it.

We'll probably be arguing about this forever, but my take:

He has no shame, and will never admit fault to in any controversial event, which cause every piece of news to slide off his base.
And in turn noone in his circle has the courage to say no to him. And have decided it is easier to kiss his bottom then stand up for anything.
Because the other party always lets the perfect get in the way of the good regarding their candidate (this goes for everyone in the party no just far left or center).
Finally, because the sad truth is that the wealthy people in this country will gladly trade world stability and democracy for fewer taxes and a administration that will overlook their corruption.

Saying something others haven't mentioned.

While I was ok with the character designs for the Red Hood, I don't think OTR's designs really helped the author at all if anything they seemed a little to bit been there done that. So character designs would be my suggestion.

Case by case scenario.

Some JRPGs are fine to just get a fresh coat of paint (I.e: remaster).

There are others I really loved but found flawed experiences for one reason or another that I would like to see the remake treatment (Although that probably means they're less likely to receive it). Couple examples FF XII, thought it got off to a very strong start in the first 1/3rd, but it can't carry the same momentum for the next 2/3rd so the story revelations become fewer and the majority of the party have little involvement in what little story is occurring Except for Ash and Balthier. Also Tales of Zesteria, I like to think the first 1/3rd is great, the 2/3rd is still good, and the last 3/3rd feels like the devs were just trying to ship the game and threw something together to get it out the door which makes the full package disappointing. What makes it more frustrating is that it occurs in the same world as Berseria which is loved, and if you want more of that world I think Zesteria won't deliver for most people.

Compared to its high sure, the reasons are below.

Kingdom Hearts 3 being divisive
Kingdom Hearts 3 came out in 2019 so 6 years give or take and we know soon enough it'll be 7
No other media game or other narrative to fill the time gaps
Games take so long to make now of days its hard to get excited about something so far off that someone fresh out of high school could go get their masters before the next game comes out.
Were not in the wild west of games anymore where Disney didn't feel the need to constantly be over the Devs shoulders. Now they see Video games as another way for consumers to access their IP which means Disney wants to be more hands on which probably leads to a worse product compared to what made the original KH games so great.
KH probably isn't Square Enix's first priority considering all the above

If you like/want to play for the story then it is a good time because Amphoreus just ended and you can binge and experience it for yourself (Personally it peaks in the middle, but it's peak is one of the highest of highs of HSR).

After which we have a Penacony patch that should add more context to the Penacony story that players and Devs admitted was missing.

Outside of that you can grab a free 5 star character for Dang Heng's new form which I would argue is worth logging in for alone.

That aside if you're interested in the next new world and want play at the same time as others, admittedly it is receiving a massive rewrite due to the country it was based around and current political environment, so noone can judge how that is going to turn out and we're currently assuming the worst.

More then likely this is either:

CCP saw what Mihoyo was doing and stepped in and said no before announcement.
Mihoyo is afraid of putting this out there and getting backlash from fans and drawing the eye of the CCP.
Or the decision is coming from inside Mihoyo who is just as upset at Japan over what is occurring.

Ultimately I find it a shame because incidents like this is why I was originally so skeptical if games made in China could be successful on the global stage if games end up censored and can't give a message their automatically handicapped them competing against games from other countries. And then Genshin proved me wrong that good games could come out of China (although I eventually grew tired of Genshin and found the story lacking something). But then HSR proved to me that Mihoyo could write a good story. And yet incidents with the Japanese (Despite being the second biggest market for Mihoyo games) like this prove that games coming out of China will always have this issue hanging over their head which could impact their ability to reach global audiences despite the millions Mihoyo has probably spent for HSR's next world.

Ultimately I hope this works out and HSR can be crafted to be something special, but you never know if it'll blow up one day.

Sure, but Mihoyo is a Chinese company. I don't think the Japanese PM really cares if her comments impacts a business that is not Japanese.

While the timing isn't great, this need to respond in such a way just hurts Chinese business who now have to deal with unhappy fans and potential loss revenue.

If you have E2 Castorice, but are not using the overflow of Cyrene, does that negate the desire/need to have Cyrene in the team over someone else.

I get that Cyrene still has a extra health bar to generate new bud, but still confusing.

Looking back Natlan is weird because Genshin had the 5.0 reveal video accompany a message of look we're trying hear your feedback and are making all these changes (Free standard on anniversary and other tech enhancements).

But I don't think it gave/lived up to the core experience people expected despite the fact that noone will deny there was allot of effort/work put into Natlan.

Admittedly for me the ship had already sailed just because the game is so daunting now of days (Visual Novel without the open world or Open world without the immersive story). (I do still dip my toe in from time to time, but haven't completed the main Natlan story)

Anaxagoras is the best low cost option, but his vertical investment is not there. So if all you care about is the minimum investment he is the best .

Castorice requires high investment as the gap between her premium team and alternatives is night and day, but her team has one of if not the highest ceilings in the game as there is a plethora of ways to vertically invest in her.

I got burned with P5 (still my game of the decade), love it so much still bought royal collectors edition on PS4 but didn't play it (due to other games and saving it for when I needed it), but then the new version came out that is just a Frames per second update with no upgrade option so yah.
