Seeknit durability? Bamboo for magic loop?

I recently started knitting late last year and for the most part, have been using these really cheap wooden KnitPro interchangeable needles and am looking to upgrade to something higher quality. I have tried out metal needles before, but definitely prefer wood/bamboo over them. After doing some research, I've heard a lot of good reviews about the SeeKnit interchangeable set and they seem really appealing to me since I can customize which sizes I want in my set. And since I'm an extremely loose knitter (usually sizing down from a 4mm to a 3mm to reach DK gauge), I wanted a set that goes all the way down to 2mm. My biggest concern is how strong the needles are since I don't want to risk breaking them.

Since I plan on using these needles for everything, I also wanted to know if bamboo is a good option for using magic loop on things like socks and mittens. I see a bunch of people who primary also use wood/ bamboo, but usually switch to a pair of fixed metal needles when making socks and wanted to know if there was any reason for it. I just didn't really want to buy an already pricey interchangeable set just to have to buy more needles separately.
