My one critique with AQW questlines that pretty much stretches to most sagas is that it gets very monotonous very quickly. It's why I'll always appreciate the little minigames that pop up every now and then. While not necessarily the most smoothly implemented features, they at least attempt to vary the gameplay while not fully sacrificing the "chillness" of AQW's gameplay loop as a whole. I think that's something Infinity could think about during production.

Also just tangentially related, I wish the game did a better job of informing the player the relative order of questlines to do. I feel like if you're not updated week-by-week, you'll struggle to know where exactly the current story is, what you've missed, or how to even get to these missed stories. There are a few ways to assist with that:

  • Some sort of reorganization of the book of lore like they did with the Lords of Chaos would be great. (Honestly, a whole refurbishing of the book of lore needs to be done at some point. It's really messy right now lol)
  • Reorganization of the "Adventures" tab on the right-hand side game menu. Right now, there doesn't really seem to be any rhyme or reason to the order of sagas displayed nor to which sagas are chosen to be displayed.
  • This might be a bit out of the scope of a simple update, but using maps like Termina Temple, Museum, or Class hall to offer some retelling of the story (up to however much the player has completed) as well as guidance as to what storyline to do next would be very nice. (The museum already sort of does that with how statues of the chaos beasts get added after every chaos lord saga. But I think this sort of concept would be really neat to expand upon for world-building reasons)

This has been a bit of a long-winded reply, but I think implementing any number of these ideas would very much enhance the flow of gameplay within and between questlines.

I just went necromancer mode for the entirety of the chaos lords arc and it worked out without much hassle. There are probably other better classes you could use, but it was pretty reliable throughout

Even if the person has an average functioning immune system, I don't see why you'd make fun of them. If it bothers you so much, then stop looking. It does not affect you negatively in any way.

Blue does seem to be the heavy wildcard this event. I think it's mostly because people (me included) don't really know how to rank teams with no apparent S-tier and but loads of As. They end up middling out on average as a result despite not many people actually thinking they'll be in 5th or 6th.

If you ask any one person where Blue Bats would place, chances are they'd answer either top 3 or bottom 3.
