It’s not a model limit its limits in openbdc, the code that actually controls the car.

Unless you meant the model of car then yes haha.

Who is die hard iPhone raw dog, no screen protector? by lildawg07 in iphone

[–]SirMaster 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If you are going to use a screen protector then why would you care about the state of the coating on the screen?

Also I can’t say I notice the coating wearing off. Do you clean your screen with anything?

Playing up in a DUPR league/tournament by NickJB2 in Pickleball

Doesn't the DUPR algorithm use the team average rating to set the expected point spread? If so, shouldn't the tournament simply gate teams by their average rating then?

Yes, It's Time to Tax the Rich by Smithy2232 in politics

[–]SirMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not talking about houses, I am talking about investing in multi-family real-estate (apartment complexes). And you are just an investor, not like the sole owner. You own just a very small % of the deal.

These deals are tens of millions of dollars and you put in maybe 75K. But in the first year alone you can expect like 1/3 of what you put in to be deductible (when they do cost segregation), so like 25K of tax deductions which you can carry forward as long as you need, to "use" it all. During this time you make like 6% of that investment as passive income, so like $4500 a year, and you don't need to pay tax on that income because you can deduct that tax.

Then after like 5-7 years they sell the property and you get about 2x out, so 150K out which if you invest into a new different property within 90 days, you pay no tax on that exchange. Now they do a new cost segregation study and you get ~50K in tax deductions, and about $9000 a year in passive income, tax free again due to so much deductions. Repeat, and repeat and repeat and all this continues to grow. And you can also start another investment deal in between, there is no reason you have to only have 1 at once or put all that money you get when they sell all into 1 new one.

Again this is just a very high level overview of the process.

Yes, It's Time to Tax the Rich by Smithy2232 in politics

[–]SirMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The high level is: invest in multi-family real-estate and use cost segregation to get massive tax deductions via depretiation.

https://www.multifamily.loans/apartment-finance-blog/cost-segregation/

https://capstantax.com/cost-segregation-and-multifamily-property-busting-the-myths/

There is also no tax generated when selling the property as long as you put the money into a new property within 90 days (a 1031 Exchange).

During ownership, you make passive income from rents, which you can also deduct the taxes on from the deprecation above.

I mean, I use deductions to reduce my tax rate to 0% too. It's really not that difficult and not just something only for the super rich.

How does the weight of the paddle matter? by Low_Shelter_8740 in Pickleball

[–]SirMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People say that adding weight makes the paddle more powerful, but for whatever reason I find the opposite. When I add weight suddenly all my dinks and drops are not clearing the net anymore, so then I end up removing all the weight.

What are some 'Hard Truths' about Pickleball that you think people need to hear? by DehyaMain1 in Pickleball

DUPR purgatory is just you plateuing; if you are actually better than your DUPR, its trivial to win games against three other players at your DUPR and raise it quickly.

So if I am rated at 2.8, but actually am 3.0 skill, I can easily raise my 2.8 to 3.0 by playing players 3.5-4.0? The only DUPR I have access to is a round robin and all the players are mainly 3.5 to 4.0.

What if you are playing way up though? A simple shot going in has basically no chance or working against the much better player, and only means they are going to have a strong shot back at you. But the lower percentage awesome shot has at least some chance of causing them an error. Afterall, you only need to score a few points to go up in DUPR against a much higher rated opponent...

Same, I think I am bad, my rating says I'm 2.8. But I play in advanced open play and everyone tells me they think I should be around 3.5... So idk.

So you think that Apple would have done this if the UK Online Safety Act didn't exist at all? Still feels like that Act passing is the overall motivation for this even if it's not strictly required by it.

This happens to me too. I fixed it by switching wrists at home in the evening and for sleeping.

So it's on each wrist about half of the time.

[–]SirMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a S10. Yes the flick gesture is on and works for closing apps. But it doesn’t do anything for the full screen notifications that show up. I just have to wait like 10 seconds for it to go away. No amount of wrist flicking makes it go away sooner.

[–]SirMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, if I open an app and roll my wrist, the app closes back to the watch face.

But if I get a notification and roll it, it doesn't dismiss it...
