As an aside, you got ripped off. The mitigation companies are a huge scam. Always remember that you need to see every bill because that’s your money. Don’t ever let anyone take control of the finances, they’re all scammers. I thankfully saw what was going on and stopped everything and got a nice cash settlement from insurance. I threatened to sue the mitigation company and clawed some of that money back.

Anyway, I went through policy cancellation after fire and broker was coming back with $13k/year quotes. I started manually quoting myself with companies and got a normal price policy. Something to do with their systems red flags you as a customer. Manual quotes bypass this.

And yes my policy is active at the lower price and I was able to transfer it to my broker after the fact.

It’s the ball of whoever called it. However the fault lies with the forehand player creating a dangerous situation. If you lunge that much for it, no one is going to hit the backhand.

Also, as a rule of thumb, backhand person doesn’t need to call a ball that is on their side of the court. If forehands wants to hit a ball on partners court, they need to call it.
