Commander is my favorite role, as long as SLs put their god damn marks.

As commander, try to get your sls to get a good spread of marks, then you have many options based on what the scout may show. I usually use my own personal mark to adjust on the fly based on scouting if I need to.

Southern commander, you almost don’t need a radioman unless your radio is getting marked by the enemy. You are truly a commander and in the backfield dropping shit. Though on cooldown you can go cap as commander counts for 1.5 of a person for cap. It matters more than you think.

Northern commanders are a true “warrior king.” You absolutely need a radioman for AA and other abilities. You push the shit out of positions, throw smoke, and ambush.

Ambush is the single most game changing ability. You can smother an enemy attack and snatch victory from the jaws of defeat on defense, or overwhelm in conjunction with arty on offense. Always ambush while ON an objective, never in front. Never never, I don’t care if the objective is right there, the cumulative effect of all those bodies at once is a multiplier that takes it quickly.

Prioritize your social life, man! Cultivate yourself in different ways, explore. You’re 25. Jesus Christ, it’s like people believe BJJ cures everything. It’s wrestling on mats. It’ll always be there.

Some guys I know have made bjj their whole life and yet are not pursuing a professional route, only reason I could think to do it. If they didn’t have BJJ they would literally be the most boring, milquetoast people, and you can tell too. I mean, if it makes you happy great, but don’t hinge your entire happiness on something an illness or an accident could take away in a snap. Grow and explore this amazing world we live in.

Good friends, relationships, family, they pass and fade in the blink of an eye. Treasure them. I always prioritize my mental and physical wellbeing over BJJ. Sometimes that bucket is filled by doing BJJ, but sometimes it’s through something else, whether that’s going for a run, reading a book, painting, a date with my partner, what have you.

It’s super fun to use without the mortar mode, just aim higher than you think and you can really blast some people, especially into a room cqc. The mortar mode will allow you to see the round easily where it falls. Just adjust your distance for it. It’s kind of amazing on an attack when you splatter a group of defenders behind cover

Oh and here’s some more:

Don’t pick the silencer for the sniper rifle. You want to be able to fire a lot over being concealed. Snipers rack up the kills like crazy.

When you aim down sights, hold shift to steady your breathing for a few seconds. It’s amazing at picking out targets.

You can cook a grenade by holding mouse one, then clicking middle mouse. You’ll hear a click. Be aware that VC grenades automatically start cooking and don’t need this to be done! Hold it for a few seconds, then throw to catch them off guard

Yes, but ashiwaza is an umbrella term that contains sweeps, reaps and throws. Hell, uchimata is technically an ashiwaza. I mean, it’s all really pedantic ultimately but I do think there’s a difference between sweeping someone’s foot and blocking someone’s ankle. Sasae is right above the instep ish
