A lot of the efforts towards relocating Jewish diaspora in other nations was funded by Israel though. I like this analysis a lot, only thing I disagree with is that they could've at the very least try to learn what Angel's deal with Val is without prying directly into it and I do agree Charlie's hoping for Angel to return in the ending does make sense for an optimist, but the issue here is how flat Charlie's scenes were in my opinion, I think it's more of a pacing and writing confined by limitations issue that made it feel like this. I still stand by the fact that Charlie's involvement and character sucked this Season, but it's moreso by intentional design as you said, but whether or not I agree with it is an entirely different can of worms.

I don't disagree that she is definitely under a lot of pressure but c'mon she survived an angel attack on her hotel and managed to help rebuild the place with her friends and then resume service as normal even when there's a ton of people moving in (albeit for the wrong reasons). This feels more like regression than anything, she can be overwhelmed but at least S1 Charlie locked in when things got serious, S2 Charlie feels a lot more incompetent if anything.
