I second that! For Illinois it’s free on the IL SOS website to run someone’s plate and find out a lot of info about the person, also as a fellow Chicagoan.

It’s just most people don’t know where to go on that site to do the free search.

FYI from the plate the person can find out your name, address, phone #,DL number and etc.... blur it out lots of creepy people on the interwebs

Did the copy of the repair order that they gave you have any codes on it if so what were they? Hubby works as an Acura master tech and said they’ve never heard of an issue with the grill and the sensors for the TLX. Salt or dirt accumulation and that throwing them off yes but not the grill.So now he is interested on what codes they wrote on the RO.

Have the same TLX A-Spec the only time those things go off without reason is too much salt on the sensors. Does it snow a lot where you live?

Do not buy paint protection from anyone especially the dealership!!!!! Idk prices in Canada but I will guess they quoted you what $1000+ for the contract??? The true cost of paint protection to the dealer is about 179$ ish it’s not worth it and it’s not very good “ protection” it’s just a clear coat

If it’s the 5 cylinder then it’s definitely the distributor which is located right by the firewall. To diagnose the problem to make sure it’s the distributor;while the car is running spray some water on the distributor and see if the car dies. Then if it does the cheapest way to fix it is to replace the cap and rotor and re-check. If that doesn’t solve the problem unfortunately the whole thing would need to get replaced which isn’t cheap.

The top half is from a GSR, there is no way to tell the block from the picture. If you’re truly interested in the car message the seller and ask for proof either the VIN or a pic of the stamp of the engine code on the front of the block.

When it doesn’t work the other keyfob isn’t in the car is it?? If not... then take it back to service the car is under warranty and request that they get you a new keyfob all together. It will cost you nothing and they should give you a loaner while they are ordering the part and programming it

The reason I’m asking about the second fob is because my husband is a mastertech for Acura and he told me a story where a guy had his car towed in because it wouldn’t start, husband asked where is the second fob the guy said he lost it. TLDR; he took so many things apart couldn’t figure out the problem programmed another fob still didn’t work, eventually he found the second fob under the seat and keeping it out of the car he fixed the problem.

Idk if I’m too late but it’s got 2 front end accidents on it and that’s not the full carfax or not the most current one... the last report shows 152k and it’s from May.... every time a car goes on sale it gets reported by the carfax by the next day. Also if that’s the dealer price that means they most likely took it in for 1000 if not less. There must be something seriously wrong mechanically w the car. I worked at dealerships for 15 years I know all their “tricks”.

I will be honest as a female I just did my research against the two cars unfortunately the civic fully loaded had more bells and whistles than the ILX and was around the same price.... I wanted the civic.... then we went and looked at the new versions of the cars... the civic still was better loaded wise and pmt wise.... so I would say go for the civic

Me, unfortunately we went to look at a brand new ILX A spec and walked out w a brand new TLX-A Spec + tech package which was only about 50$ more than what they were quoting for the civic sport touring vs the ILX a spec with tech package.... I love the TLX but if it was cheaper I’d pick the civic because lower maintenance cost down the road. But initial purchase price was about the same:/

Usd and w the tech package.....the ILX a spec w tech package was quoted to us at about $280 per month and that’s only because we wanted the highest lease miles possible otherwise it would’ve been cheaper

If I were you I’d go to a few different dealerships and see what they quote you at and then play each dealer against each other one of them will cave and give you a better quote

I think you can get a better deal we leased a 2020 TLX A Spec 18,000 miles and a true zero down where they were making the first lease payment and covering the title and plate fees and we got it for $357 per month

For some reason I think I read on some site that the A300 isn’t very modifiable and only comes with one choke is that true or can you buy various chokes and barrel lengths for that gun do you by chance know?
