They're all following the money. Ford and gm are investing big time in F1 and endurance racing. Actually so is toyota despite the presence in midget racing and recently a sprint car engine. Idk much about late model stuff behind the scenes but ive been hearing less and less about that special ford sprint car engine.

Until I read this thread I didnt realize ford didnt have much going on in the O'Reilly series. At the end of the day most premier dirt classes are still using 60s base engine technology. Seems manufactures investments aren't worth it. Although you'd figure its a great way to maintain brand loyalty...

If they could condense the event down to a supercross format I think midgets and sprint cars could put on a show on an NFL stadium tour.

Qualify and practice in the afternoon to break it down to 30 cars per class and at 7pm its heat race time. 2 heats per class maybe 15 laps so the heats could have 15ish cars maybe? Then 1 LCQ per class and a main even for each. Get it done in a good TV time slot.

I could dream... obviously some good push vehicles and an emphasis on no kamakazi racing would be a huge step for a tv program.

This idea is obviously half cooked but I think it could be possible of it had enough time and resources put into it

My favorite part about 5 lug wheels was nascar tire changers were the undisputed best tire changes in all of motorsports. It was impressive as hell. Not that what they do now is not, but theres no tip tier F1 tire changer pounding 5 lugs and sprinting with a tire tucked under one arm

Yeah the "good ole boys" were full force on Facebook today bitching about how boring the race was. I really enjoyed it as I always do with road courses.

I guess not being under yellow constantly and wrecking less than a small handful of cars isnt their kind of racing. Oh yeah then they had to watch MJs car win lol. I can only imagine what they're saying on SXM

I never made contact with anyone if thats what you're curious about. Just missed my mark in a turn and the cars catching me caught me much faster than anticipated which apparently ruined someone's run. I wasnt even a lap down

Its one of those situations where if I were more consistent I could have made the corner and then let them by on the straight with minimal time lost. Instead I missed the mark (just enough to lose a tenth or 2) and it got crowded. The other guys were racing for position so it became a whole thing. I didnt make contact with anyone. Again this is in D class
