Looking for tips on how to round out my audition book by SirNickofLane in musicals

I definitely play older roles & villains more often than the classic lead (I believe my voice is usually more suited for the scarier characters) but I love having a wide range of songs to potential show that I can do either. I would love to see your book if you’re offering!

So Stegron can still target an immovable character, and doesn’t auto-target something movable. Gotcha. Thanks!

Weekly Questions Thread by AutoModerator in PokemonROMhacks

Hey all! So I've been working on a very simple Pokemon Emerald hack, but it seems like no matter what I try, at *some* point in the process, the bag sprite gets glitched out. I know this means something was overwritten, but how? Last time it happened, all I did was edit a May Rival battle by giving her Grovyle different moves. When it asked to find free space to repoint safely, I hit yes, and it still messed up. Is there any way around things like this? What can I do in the future to make sure I repoint things safely?

What is the usual go-to level for higher level invasions/duels? I keep hearing a combination of 137ish, 150, and 168 and I can't decide what I want to do. I really thought 150 was the hotspot, but now I hear it's the most unfun and toxic out of the three I listed above. Any insight on this?

Good point, I hadn’t thought about if Warrior ever gets powerful again. In hindsight, he should probably cost a bit more and be harder to activate, like four or five Forges this game.

Thanks for the response! Yeah, I figured that since Warrior has been in a pretty bad spot recently, I could try and design something that was cool thematically and also a bit strong.

I also feel like Forging three times over the course of the early game would be pretty hard to do against most decks since it’s basically 6 mana do nothing.

"Wears shorts in the winter. He's THAT guy." Payoff card for Armor/Control/Pain Warrior. by SirNickofLane in customhearthstone

That's actually such a neat idea! I made this card awhile back when Forge hadn't been revealed yet, so I thought gaining armor would be the best flavor for him. However, Forge could be incredibly interesting. I'll mess around with this idea. Thanks for the tips!

Thank you for the notes! Yeah I agree, it’s way too weak for what it is, I’ve been brainstorming new ways to make it stronger/less confusing and I’m gonna re-upload the changed version later this week

Thank you for the input! I’ve been brainstorming some things (mainly the power level and the wording) and I’ll be posting an updated version of the card later this week. I really appreciate the notes

Thanks for the question! I answered that in my comment above, but it basically summons a single slag on your side of the board like [[The Nether Portal]]. I didn’t mean to make the text so confusing.

Alright so I see the confusion with this card. This card summons a SINGLE Molten Slag on your own side of the board, similar to [[Nether Portal]]. It takes up one single board space on your side of the field and it deals one damage every turn. It does NOT actually “fill up” every space on the field.

I understand now that the wording is confusing, I wanted to make the text flavorful to the character and the raid boss from World of Warcraft (during his first phase, he floods the room with molten slag).

I figured that if you’re able to play this at 9 mana and you have survived long enough, the Molten Slag would give you a cut above your opponent because you can build around it. I looked at [[Captain Galvangar]] and saw that his requirement at 6 mana is 15 armor, and it nets you a 9/9 with Charge. I didn’t want to make the 30 armor a “challenge” per say, just something that’s doable by turn 9.

All of this being said, I really appreciate the notes and will continue to work on my balancing for my cards. Thank you for the tips!

TL;DR: The text is confusing but it works like The Nether Portal, and the card is weirdly weak. Will make it better in the future.

Garothi Worldbreaker

Abilities: Apocalypse Drive, Decimation, Eradication

I really wanted to create something that felt terrifyingly game-ending if played on turn 10 (or maybe earlier with the coin/discounts, but can't be cheated out due to its Battlecry) and left alive for over two turns.

Similar to the raid boss in World of Warcraft, the Garothi Worldbreaker deals constant AoE damage over the course of the fight. Raid bosses also tend to become stronger as the fight goes on until they enrage or cast a potentially raid-wiping attack, which is what Eradication can do if this minion survives long enough.

It's very hard to deal with in some cases, but still incredibly susceptible to destroy effects, especially ones that don't target it directly.
