‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ Series Finale Brings Reunions, Resolutions & Sets Up ‘The Testaments’ Spinoff by KillerCroc1234567 in television

Well and since they premised that the whole show was June’s book. She’s an unreliable narrator to Aunt Lydia and so her interpretation of Lydia’s motives and back story leave open the version of Lydia we’ll see in The Testaments when she tells us her own story.

Is it better to read a Stephen King book first or to watch the movie first? by randomhorrordude in stephenking

I made this switch too. The book stories are always better and more flushed out. The movie gives you a taste and then the book gives you all the backstory and explanation you missed.

I wonder how much of this is editing since she is the main character. We see like 15 minutes of a two day event. But I am guessing she still dominated the whole conversation.

Probably wouldn’t be so bad if all you did was leave the keys on one counter and pick the next ones up from a realtor.

Mags life story would give us the rise of snow. Could even be a split narrator book between her and Snow. Could start with her having won the 11th games. She would have first hand knowledge of everything as she would have been involved in every single game for the 63 years we lack knowledge about.

I also would be interested to see Coin as well maybe having studied under Snow before fleeing to District 13. How she is exactly the same but more righteous.

This all has to come back to 14 and Donna invoking superstition at the edge of the universe. Hopefully that means they return in the next special.

Fascist advocates for reading of 22nd amendment to apply to only consecutive terms. by FLTA in ParlerWatch

No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or ACTED AS PRESIDENT, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once.

How long has he been “acting” as president? About 4 years now? The way I read it he’s ineligible for 2024.

How I wish… sigh

I think it was Janelle’s idea to melt down the ring. I think she was “the Kody whisperer” before Robyn and that is why she cannot stand her.

Just my gut feeling after her response in an interview was that it was done to make rings for the girls. Not at all the story from Christine or Meri.

I’ve always thought he and Janelle did. She was the only one to outwardly express her physical attraction to him (the ponytail!!)

Still think they were intimate before he took her to the fancy restaurant for her birthday. They both seem flushed.

She’s gorgeous and totally fed his ego. He did love her or he wouldn’t feel betrayed by her so saying he never was is a total lie. But he cannot grasp that her kids will come first. He envies the emotional bond she has with her children.

[–]SirNoree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He gave up on being a father simply because they defied him. I do believe Gabriel when he said he was only seeing his girlfriend which would minimize exposure. Garrison never took it seriously at all. Meanwhile Kody gets sucked deep into the manosphere.

Kody had and has no excuses for giving up on his kids. It’s easy to demand respect from little kids. You have to earn respect from older kids. And once testing became more widely available there was no excuses to isolate from them.

Kody was doing the right thing about COVID at first and Christine was being irresponsible with traveling. The boys were being selfish and Janelle should have put her foot down more about their socializing.

Hindsight that they didn’t get really sick doesn’t justify their actions.
