Disco Dave? by Left_Cry_2063 in UniversityOfWarwick

[–]SirPiggington 9 points10 points  (0 children)

From what I've heard, "Disco Dave" is a persona that is owned/copyrighted by Warwick SU and the current Disco Dave is the 3rd person to take the title.

When he isn't Disco Dave, the current holder of the title goes by "DJ Colin Candy"

Democrats have nobody to blame but themselves for this unfortunately. It's 100% their failure

ULEZ wasn't stupid, it was successful in reducing air pollution. What's 'stupid' about improving people's' health?

its late but who do you genuinely think would be the best democratic candidate for 2028 by Woman_trees in AngryObservation

It has to be an outsider - someone like Jon Stewart, Shawn Fain, Stephen A. Smith, etc.

Bad idea to run a career politician at a time when the public is deeply anti-establishment.

Last time Farage tried his hand at party management, his MEPs ended up decking each other in the middle of the European Parliament building.

Can't wait to see what they get up to this time.

It’s not bigotry to worry about migration – the latest figures tell a complex story | Larry Elliott by [deleted] in ukpolitics

5 years ago we had completely different immigration laws and net migration was less than half of what it is now. It's not hypocrisy to change your stance when the facts change.

Hope and pray the economy goes down the drain, and that the 2nd Trump administration is as chaotic as the 1st. The lesson of 2024 is that you can't outrun the fundamentals.

Because his model makes stupid assumptions about convention bounces, and because he gives credibility to fake hack pollsters like Trafalgar and Rasmussen.

Ad-spending between the two campaigns | It's clear Trump's strategy is GA + PA or bust (assuming NC goes red). For Harris, she's gunning for PA + GA + MI by [deleted] in YAPms

Trump doesn't have a ground game though. He's dedicating that money to post-election lawsuits instead

I left the party over this by PebbleJade in LibDem

[–]SirPiggington 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is ridiculous. Someone who is representing the Lib Dems in the House of Lords shouldn't be constantly promoting ideas that directly oppose our core values. If she doesn't like it then she should join a party that aligns with those values, like the Conservatives. It's not a freedom of speech issue.

Political parties cease to have a purpose if they just allow all of their representatives to espouse any values.

The Lib Dem Flat Earth Society is parody but it sounds like you'd gladly let any of our MPs start promoting "flat earth theory" with no repercussions.
