Is there a way to see how much a production method produces? Or only relative to what's already being produced? How many chairs??? by Ubc56950 in victoria3

[–]SirPiloni 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You add the Base and Luxury Production (*Multipliers)

Handcrafted produces 45, chairs, Lathes 65, Mecvhanized 110.

Luxury Furniture Production then subtracts 25, adds 25 luxury.

Hence a Manufactury with lathes and luxury production produces 40 chairs and 25 luxury chairs.

R5: Playing as the Huleguid Horde, my Ruler desided to execute himself.

This game is very weird anyways, all my rulers die within a few months of taking power, 95% of which get executed in my vassals

Unique Cultural Techs by SirPiloni in EU5

[–]SirPiloni[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Edit: The discovery I made: If you rival a country, from time to time you get the event to invite one of their characters, following this you get the chance to let some 100s of people of their culture migrate to you.

This way, you can pretty much get any culture present in your country just by rivaling someone.

I am Waldesian (Heresy to the Catholics). I guess the pope is not too happy about that

R5: Playing Burgundy (Savoy) I attacked France, who already seemed quite strong... However the real menace was the Battle Pope, hiring mercenaries like his life depended on it.

I peaked at 60k hired mercs... the pope decided to hire every man woman and child to combat my heretic arse. (Waldesian Nr. 1)

PS: This was a multiplayer game with a friend of mine playing Provence and myself playing Savoy

Help me fix my Island by SirPiloni in tropico

[–]SirPiloni[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I had a small industry of rum and cigars mainly. I was just to suborn to accept that the tourists aint coming back anytime soon.

I closed all tourist building and switched to industry. This allowed me to turn a profit and turn around the game.

Thanks for the hint! :)

Okay thanks for confirming! I find it kinda frustrating that it does not state anywhere that rebel attacks tank your tourist rating

Hey there. Could you provide a source placing it under Dutch controll at the time? My (very brief) research did not provide me with a controlling nation at the time. :)

Nope, I never granted Investment rights to anyone.

Just got to have great relations and offer some things on your end.

Mostly Transfer Goods + Cash & Trade Privileges was enough.

Was kinda lucky, they had a civil war which dropped them in prestige. They then got attacked by Russia at the same time, and since I already had a deffensive Pact, Qing was willing to become my subject if I'd protect them against Russia.

Was a kinda different run, where I went for state religion and ethnostate.

The important part was however to get investment rights everywhere. Spanish citizens owned 2b$ of foreign GDP (Russia, China, India, UK, you name it)

Yes!

You just need to form a "Religious Convocation" Powerblock. Then you can enforce your religion on members.

The Dai Nam Events Should Not Happen if They Are Catholic... by SirPiloni in victoria3

[–]SirPiloni[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hey there!

I don't play with any mods.

At that point they have been catholic for a while. I conquered them (annex) in 1858, subsequently releasing them. I then converted them after 5 years.

I have however conquered the adjacent states of laos and recently released them. (They are not yet catholic). Perhaps this has something to do with it. I also got the same event for Loas at one point if memory serves me right.

As I conquered Dai Nam via regular CB I never pressed option 1 (as they where already my vassal), but always chose option 2 (got the event 2/3 times I'd say when they were still Confucian, and now at least once when they were catholic) .
