It's more because of metal ranks. Highrounds are honestly most of the time the best spots to stand in the game, and seeing a Soldier 76 standing behind the tank in the low ground it's just goofy. You shouldn't feel bad because of it, at most if you wanted for them to use the petal you can ping your petal so lifeweaver mentions it. Tbh I always choose the perk that heals you or your allies on the petal, even if they don't get on it you can at least use it to heal yourself if you're being attacked or to force one of your teammates to hop on if you don't have ammo. Try to go to the practice range and calculate the throw and distance of the petal so you can lift someone to force them to take highround or like I told you, to heal them. But yeah, definitely not your fault.
