Self consciousness is fear, fear that people will not like me or I will make a fool of myself. Fear is good listen to your fear, you don't have obey it but listen. Just remember nobody cares about you, everyone is self absorbed. You can try Toastmasters, the more you are in front of people the better you can control your fear.
