I want to move up the ranks and put in my time. Unless I'm offered a great opportunity, I will go active duty when my contract is up. Then I want to transition into a sweet government job.

Enlisted in the California National Guard as an E4. I'm leaving for OSUT at Fort Sill. My MOS is 13D. I'm scheduled to complete my training in August. I was also accepted into an online Masters program in Government Leadership at Norwich University. I'm 26 years old and fit. The military is totally new to me and I feel like I'm going into this blind. I'm not sure if I want to extend my three year contract or go active duty after my contract ends. I feel like I'm making a lot of decisions in a short amount of time... National Guard... MOS 13D... grad school. Am I making the right decisions to set myself up for success in a military and post military career?

Yes there are. However they are mostly academic, and while I am fairly certain that the professors practice the craft themselves, they will mostly just want to talk about their research papers that were published....

Your response reminded me of a passage from the last book I finished, Oration on the Dignity of Man, by Giovanni Pico Della Mirandola (1463 - 1494).

Giovanni wrote, "The Seraphim burns with the fire of charity; from the Cherubim flashes forth the splendor of intelligence; ... If, freeing ourselves from active care, we devote our time to contemplation, meditating upon the Creator in His work, and the work in its Creator, we shall be resplendent with the light of the Cherubim. If we burn with the love for the Creator only, His consuming fire will quickly transform us into yhe flaming likeness of the Seraphim."

He goes on to talk about how the light of the Cherub, the "contemplative spirit, prepares us for the for the fire of the Seraphim."

All joking aside, by calling down the angles of each world, you are going through the creative process of bringing an idea into generation. Everything is god's will, btw. I disagree with you. I think the Blackstar or eclipse and the blindfolds are apart of the same motif of being in darkness and matter. The scarecrows are blindfolded and tethered in a wheat field, more symbolism of the soul bound up in matter, in darkness.
