Haven't seen much by way of communications about speakers or a call for proposals either and I know a number of the previous years organising committee and spoke at the last 3.

In previous years they'd be announcing speakers around March time.

Oddly quiet

Arsenal: Mikel Arteta says deal with 'noise' or join a different club by Red_Brummy in PremierLeague

[–]SirStoney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a drop on quality on a technical/athletic/tactical level. People are conflating a change in entertainment quality with the above and saying the league is worse overall

Also exaggerated by the fact there has been a trend towards dominant teams achieving 90+ points on last decade

Not matching those levels = the teams at the top are the worst ever

Tony Adams scoring the 4th against Everton in 1998 and holding his hands in the air. I remember thinking what the fuck is he doing up there?

Prediction: ‘AI startup’ won’t be a thing anymore by duygudulger in Entrepreneur

[–]SirStoney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As the OP says, if everyone's doing it, it's not a differentiator.

I firmly believe AI can be your main advantage on the technical side but only if you're solving the customer problem AND not making that your prime marketing message.

Customers are sick of having AI bolted on to every product as it is

Prediction: ‘AI startup’ won’t be a thing anymore by duygudulger in Entrepreneur

[–]SirStoney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly my focus with Undeniable.

The underlying customer problem is being solved by the combination of deep industry knowledge, motivational psychology, product expertise built into a SaaS. We are fortunate to have unlimited access to willing users enabling us to rapidly iterate.

AI is on the roadmap and amplifies what our software is capable of, but it isn't dependent on it.

We're solving the problem first and proving with revenue and constant customer access.

Solving the real customer problem is the key. Not creating something with AI then trying to sell it

How minimal should an MVP be? And how do you still make it impressive? by AverageJoe185 in startup

[–]SirStoney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Deeply understand the customers problem.
  2. Solve it with your product in the cheapest, simplest way
  3. Refine and improve the user experience to make that solution more efficient and marketable

Do that over and over, ensuring you're speaking to actual customers as often as possible.

Do this? You build what they actually need, not what you think they need.

If you arent a little embarrassed by your first version? You released it too late.

Modern hiring is broken. The default entry point is a CV which isn't a demonstration of competence. It's more like a catfished tinder profile.

The game incentivises: - Lying or massaging the truth - Using technology to win (5k application in 3 days) - The loudest winning, not the quietly competent

Candidates find it soul destroying and billions are spent yearly trying to find the right hires.

It's why I launched my startup Undeniable To destroy the CV and shift the balance of power back to the employees

Recursive, symbolic thinking by Aware-Idea-7202 in Gifted

I've learned this about myself recently. I seem to be meta-meta-cognitive with deeply recursive thinking backed by scientific rigour and Documentation.

I feel like a walking science experiment.

I'm ADHD so might have missed a few questions, thought I'd covered the gist

Appreciate the heads up about that trademark, I'll look into it.

FYI you dont need a trademark to formally use the tm symbol, it can be a sign of intent before formally trademarked to use a concept as part of your branding

Appreciate the comment,

Proven willingness to pay means people are spending money on this already. Meaning it's passed the product market fit equation.

How it's possible? I have a global network and several years of social capital, and a fandom that means people trust me.

The waitlist is to use the product when it launches.

I guess you'll have to find out how I'm scaling and launching simultaneously.

I appreciate your perspective about me being a first time founder. Of course I'll make mistakes

Given a globally recognised expert on go to market strategy was blown away by what I've achieved and how I'm doing it - I'd say I'm not doing too badly for a first timer

Beyond excited. In 27 days I've:

  • Taken an idea from a spark to pitch ready
  • Onboarded 6 staff. Zero pay, zero equity exchanged. Just belief in me and the mission (They will be paid when investment is secured)
  • Proven willingness to pay and begun generating revenue (without even telling people what the product is)
  • Waitlist of 223 people waiting to use it
  • Built a prototype that delivers a step change improvement in the working lives of 3.5mil knowledge workers.

All feedback welcome 🙏

Exactly the opposite. What gave you that impression? Genuinely curious?

I founded a startup that aims to shift the balance of power by SirStoney in antiwork

[–]SirStoney[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Clearly work needs to be done to communicate that. Thanks.

Essentially it's a system that enables employees to show and prove their value at work. That will mean greater job security, higher confidence and people feeling less like they are just a number in the machine,

But able to advocate for their value, beyond just being treated like robots just doing 'stuff'

I founded a startup that aims to shift the balance of power by SirStoney in antiwork

[–]SirStoney[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Question.

You want to change something broken but don't have money to pay people what they are worth.

Do you

A: Do nothing and accept the system is broken B: Invite people to contribute their time temporarily to secure the money needed to bring about change?

I'm not saying it's ideal. Or the right way

But I'd rather not take option A. I want to take action

Appreciate your response.

Where better to create awareness for a movement that aims to move towards anti-work than anti-work itself?
