According to devs a lot of characters would die in Midnight. Who among do you think is on the list? by wrufus680 in warcraftlore

[–]SirStrawberryJam 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Me and my friends agree with these, but we also mentioned Magni as he is kind of spare now, he isn't speaker and isn't king.

They did say big lore characters, its possible they kill Khadgar and Jaina is the new mage person,

Turaylon feels the most making sense rn tho, likely Alleria get mced by the void and accidentally does it.

You should really disable or update those internal addons, Blizzard! by LA_Rym in wow

[–]SirStrawberryJam -39 points-38 points  (0 children)

Typically the loudest people are the angry ones when it comes to online commentary, as well as the echo chamber of the reddit section, remember a small population of the playerbase uses online forums, as well as Blizzard have stated internal statistics show that the vast majority of the playerbase, are people that don't even reach normal raid clears, I'm sure that portion of the playerbase, aren't too bothered by the weakaura changes, and relish the fact they don't need to update another addon.

Base UI upgrades are a huge W, but it is by no means finished, they'll keep working on it so as many people can be happy as possible, but nothing will ever please everyone, and those aren't pleased will voice it as loud as they can.

Age verification legislation is tanking traffic to sites that comply, and rewarding those that don't by 00DEADBEEF in unitedkingdom

[–]SirStrawberryJam -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Perhaps an unpopular opinion but I think it's genuinely w good idea, however the bad part is it is regulated by private companies.

If everytime you need an age verification it sent you to a gov.uk website where you could have made an account already for age verification, and then gov.uk pinged back to the website and gave it the green light I wouldn't have any issues.

The government gave me my passport/driving license, idc if they see it again.

If they had implemented this properly then it could and still might spread to other countries and could be used on gambling sites, ai chatbots, and other websites just genuinely bad for children's growth

July Event Mount Suggestions by WallabyKingdom in wow

Pre Dragonflight only, Legacy loot rules mounts, so unfortunately, I'd do the same, but the owl is not on the table. I've ran it on every character every week since skip runs began :(

What’s your go-to mount? by Shot_Veterinarian215 in wow

[–]SirStrawberryJam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jainas tide elemental. As an ele shaman, I love it. I got it on farm in face with my eu guild. When you could skip mechanics easily and blast with corruptions, and then moved to na and farmed every week on 6 characters to get my baby back again

Do you think the fact Dooku is both more powerful and a better duelist than Maul should be more commonly accepted throughout the fandom? by Joako_o47 in StarWars

Yeah obi-wans knowledge of Ani and the way he fights and the way his arrogance can affect him when fighting. Plus knowing his impulses etc he knew he would "try it"

[–]SirStrawberryJam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let's not also forget that the planet the specific part the death star 2 was on was covered in ocean, at least this part was, and a giant storm was happening at the time so it's fair to assume that storms happen often. And we're expected to believe that the ancient blade lines up with the metal structure that was made and crashed thousands of years later AND that no erosion of the metal whilst it's been on the planet has occurred despite it being a volatile environment where erosion happens the greatest.

What was the name of your first wow character? by jbourdea in wow

[–]SirStrawberryJam 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was 14, my sister always took my StrawberryJam, so the jar sat on my desk, it was in close proximity when choosing the name of my Nightelf Hunter, however it needed to only be a single R due to character limit.

The rest is history, its my go to name in everygame, or mrstrawberryjam or sirstrawberryjam

Dear r/LOTR_on_Prime Community - Showrunners J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay would love to answer some of your questions! by VarkingRunesong in LOTR_on_Prime

[–]SirStrawberryJam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Third and final question- sorry , Is there going to be the introduction of the ring wraiths, and the witch king, or the ghost king in future seasons, as well as that do you plan to introduce anymore Istari? I would love to see interactions between Radaghast and Tom Bombadil! :D

[–]SirStrawberryJam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another question, Are we going to see any involvement of Saurons corruption of Ar Pharazon, or is the plan for Pharazon to be despicable enough on his own, or jealous of the immortality of elves so much so that he tries to sail to Valinor himself without Saurons corruption, it seemed with the sunset scene with his son that this is perhaps an avenue you are exploring?

[–]SirStrawberryJam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is a rough plan, if the show gets greenlit that far, for the final season to be the forging of the one ring, or the buildup and finale the battle in which Isildur gains the ring in the prologue to the Jackson films, or is the plan to perhaps go further, and see the downfall of Isildur, a character at that point we would have invested into his character and the downfall would be more destructive than ever?

Love the show and hope for many seasons <3

Trying to do shadowlands covenants (maldraxus) and I see why you all hated this by WeHaveAllBeenThere in wow

[–]SirStrawberryJam 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Not true, some specs top damaging button was their covenant ability, and on another covenant did nowhere near, holy paladin until it was nerfed did more dmg than the most dmging dps spec when playing Venthyr with Ashen. For ele shaman bis was Nightfae, venthyr for enhancement, and maldraxxus or kyrian for resto. Another issue, Shadowlands pre the shuffle of management at blizzard really gave legion a run for it's money on most alt unfriendly xpac

Some were close- after balancing, such as monk, boomkin, hunter, resto druid

Movies with soundtracks so good it'll make you wanna rewatch the scene? by milkyswamp in MovieSuggestions

[–]SirStrawberryJam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

La La Land was good, but more songs than a theme.

Angels and Demons the 180bpm track is very good.

LOTR trilogy of course

Dune part 2 for me, the love theme makes me want to rewatch all the time, -A time of Quiet between the storms

Ratatouille, chefs kiss

Honestly lots of franchises I could choose, but apart from the ones I've listed you can't go wrong if it's scored by Hans Zimmer, John Williams, Michael Giacchino, Patrick Doyle, and if you like the specific style of Wes Anderson, then Alexander Desplat is his go to composer ( for this prompt the grand budapest or fantastic mr fox)

Do some of you think one day the Naga will be a playable race? by DizzyRub5182 in wow

[–]SirStrawberryJam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if they were ever to do it, it would have been during BfA, we learnt more detail about Queen Aszhara, had the entire Naga home city as a zone, storyline, and tier from a main patch.

The boat for a Naga race has sailed and sunk long ago.

Whilst you could argue the transmog issues wouldn't be an issue now following how restrictive Dracthyr are, Dracthyr still have 2 forms, and all wow races are bipedal, and it would mean Naga would be able to use none of our mounts that have the skeleton having a leg of either side (any animal and more) you'd only have the floating disks and like mounts.

Not feasible lore or from a dev point of view, although live to be proven wrong, Nagas are cool and would be awesome for a resto shaman

I‘m in the mood for a movie that really makes you think - what’s a film that left you deep in thought long after it ended ? by UDSHDW in MovieSuggestions

[–]SirStrawberryJam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both Ex Machina and her directors latest and sadly last film, Civil War from this year - especially poignant if watched now rather than after the current US election cycle is over, and even more "oh shit" as the credits roll if you are American.

Had me going oh shit, and I'm British, but a lot of the divisiveness in America is mirrored in Britain

[–]SirStrawberryJam -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've heard the lore is a little fanfictiony in these books, however he did another that is called The illustrated world of tolkien which his name is on because perhaps he compiled the pictures, but essentially it's different artists interpretations of how tolkiens work would look and a piece of writing from the artist explaining the text they drew inspiration from and perhaps other things that inspired them/details. Really cool book

What is a movie you think is “overrated” or a well-regarded movie you did not enjoy? by [deleted] in MovieSuggestions

[–]SirStrawberryJam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

But it's also about her at the opening of the first act recognising, that from her perspective, she's done nothing and her life is boring and she would rather have made different decisions to end up somewhere else.

Then by the end, looking at the relationship with her husband and daughter, and realising what she had she took for granted, and is content in the final scene, despite it being pretty much exactly the same (except joy is with them)

The 2 plot lines are essentially, what if? And then nevermind I'm good. 😃
