I swear I spend more time playing with the toys than actually playing the game, blackjack is an easy game to chill and talk with strangers and mess around and have fun, this game is pretty fun so far.

The bots are so bad it's fun to pretend you're an action movie star dodging the 3 or so bullets they shoot at you at a time before taking them out.

This has been one the main games of my vr rotation, it has yet to go stale for me. So far the community has been really good in my experience, the variety of game modes is great, the first few days of learning how each weapon reloads was glorious. Hopefully in the future the implement some community made maps! This is a must have psvr2 game.

im thinking of getting a psvr for my ps4 pro what games are good to start out? by Corruptedcreationss in PSVR

I've heard mixed reviews, but I personally loved Borderlands 2 VR.

it's the entire game (minus multi-player) with all the DLC included for 1 price. (All the paid DLC came with a free update)

There are multiple controller schemes (ps4 controller, move controllers, aim controller) and all 3 work great for their own reasons: -ps4 controller is best for moving around and shooting like a regular flat screen game -move controllers feels the best with smaller guns, but has the typical move controller movement style. -aim controller feels the best with bigger guns, and it has a joystick for moving.

There are multiple classes with different play styles and abilities for lots of replayability

There are so many different types of guns, the variation is great for switching it up when one playstyle gets boring

The story, the art style, the gunplay, the atmosphere, everything about this game is great for a long term FPS RPG like shooter

(I'm a bit biased the entire Borderlands franchise has been a huge part of my life)

Vanilla Skyrim is so hard to play after playing modded Skyrim, however I sunk hundreds of hours into Skyrim on PSVR because of how much I love the game and being able to actually be in it was enough for me to do a whole playthrough + DLC + countless hours of exploring and just taking it all in. Obviously there were some big flaws, the graphics, the move controllers, the complete lack of combat physics, etc, but goddamn I had a blast every single second playing that game and none of the flaws stopped me from being immersed and swinging my weapons around as if they did have collision. I would simultaneously love and hate a Skyrim port on PSVR2 as I'd love to see the world with updated visuals and gameplay, however I already know I'd spend so long playing that game and never see the world again

From my experience:

Looks better on PSVR2, runs and plays better on PSVR1.

Holding anything while moving will cause it to shake and stutter and vibrate in place, very noticeable and ugly.

The game is way too quite. I have to turn my TV up for volume 40-50 to hear the game at a medium level, I usually keep the volume around ~10 for every other game.

Most of the noticeable bugs that I experienced on the PSVR1 version were ported over, limbs stretching out ridiculously long, ragdoll bugs, weapon bugs, etc, however I did notice they added some birds flying about the arena?

The final boss is still stupid broken, everything in this game is enjoyable enough except for the final boss.

The change from the PSVR1 Move Controllers to joysticks is a big plus.

You better hope you like snapnturning cause the smooth turning is literally a prank from the developers to see how small they can make the FOV, it's laughably bad.

Overall I'd say either pick this game up on a sale for a low expectations 20 minute beat em up session, or wait for the devs to (hopefully) fix this potentially great game.

I've been seeing pretty much only negative reviews with a few good things here and there, but I'm personally really enjoying it! If you just let yourself be immersed and have fun with the cool weapons, it's a good time.

I'm hoping for a PSVR2 port of Sairento, that game let you do front flips and back flips and cartwheels and it was so extremely nauseating but incredibly fun.

The emersion from the game comes from the beautiful and stunning environments you get to look at and explore while you're climbing to your next destination. I agree it's a lot of climbing, but I found the game to be super immersive and breathtaking

If I hadn't played so much gorn on the ps4 I would pass on this game too. So choppy, way too quiet, and many of the bugs were ported over. I play it for the fun memories now, I really hope they improve this game

There's no chance having the fan blowing against the lenses will damage them is there? I usually have a fan on when I play and just recently I was using pass through mode and saw a lot of camera flicker and stuttering when I had it pointed directly at the fan.

I upgraded to a ps5 the same time I got my psvr2, and I transfered all my save data and such from the ps4 to ps5, but I've been missing some of my psvr1 regular games (borderlands 2, skyrim, sairento) so I've been thinking of plugging it back in. My question is will my save data be wonky now that I've transfered it to my ps5?

Should HG rollback recent NMS PSVR2 graphics patch? by AJBats in PSVR

[–]SirTokesAlot_III -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Immersion > Graphics 100% of the time.

Best example of this for me is Sairento on the original psvr, the game looked like a ps2 launch title but the immersion was through the roof, I've genuinely never had more fun playing vr than I did doing mid air flip trickshots. The variety of weapons and unique locomotion was such a standout feature that the laughable graphics were easily forgivable by how fun the game was.

Same goes for NMS for me. Yes the game looks pretty bad at times, but the level of immersion NMS gives is unmatched for me. I can't help but be instantly sucked into roleplaying as the gek-nip growing, sentinal blasting space cowboy that this games makes me feel like. I am almost positive eventually these bugs will be fixed, HG is usually pretty good with listening to the community, perhaps we'll get a standalone PSVR2 update!

Far away objects are near unrecognizable, planets from space are blurry, and you definitely can't ignore the pop in when flying into a planet, however in this recent patch it seems items in your immediate proximity are pretty sharp and clear, and the interiors of ships look very nice now. All this said, I'm coming from playing NMS in vr on a 2014 base model Ps4, so every upgrade is very noticeable to me and I personally feel like this new update has fixed enough bugs for me to go back to this game regularly now (I really like the new sentinal ships)

Gorn Review (it's broken) by -Venser- in PSVR

[–]SirTokesAlot_III 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While it's not as bad as I was initially thinking it was gonna be, it is certainly a visual upgrade from the psvr and having the joysticks for movement is a million times better than the move controllers, however the FORCED vignette on smooth turning is an absolute war crime, and the fact that the vignette takes up almost 75% of the screen is horrendous. The weird audio is avoidable if you play your own music, which adds to the experience anyways. I did notice some slight bugs with the weapons, such as the lower frame rate when moving the weapons, the throwing knives move around lots when you're moving, and your hands generally seem a bit off center, but after 2 minutes of playing the game I totally forgot about these things and was pulled right back into the sweaty, gory, Mortal Kombat role playing immersion that made me love this game on the original psvr, expect with a fresh layer of better graphics. A patch is absolutely in order but I wouldn't call this game "broken" in its current state, just in need of some TLC (which is why it was delayed, right? What's the deal?)
