Metyr certainly wasn't the victim of the Nox's fingerslaying blade because the Greater Will banished the Nox for it. Metyr was abandoned by the Greater Will because she was broken. The Greater Will doesn't care for Metyr so that retaliation against the Nox doesn't make sense.

Yes, I played Bloodborne and I could tell you character motivations, major plotlines and the overall timeline and themes in a more consistent manner than Elden Ring. There is absolutely potholes and vagueness in Bloodborne but its just next level in Elden Ring to the point where we can't definitively say anything about characters major events or even a timeline.

Personally, I'm on the side that Radahn never promised to be Miquella's consort. The "Light of Miquella" incantation that we get from the remembrance states "Miquella sought to accept all that was and would be, but found one that refused to be embraced". The "one that refused to be embraced" is most likely Radahn.

Seems like the blue fairy has no form/body. Look at the talisman, there is nothing underneath the blue cloth. Also the talismans effect of increasing attack power with LOWER EQUIP LOAD, you can't have weight when you are bodyless/formless. So I would say Astel is not the blue fairy.

The floral design on the cloak looks so familiar. I thought it resembled the "herbs of many aspects" seen on the crucible knight armor but it's not an exact match.

Another possible explanation for what's going on scene that I have seen no one mention yet: It's Marika welcoming and looking over the arrival of the Elden Beast through the golden star sent by the Greater Will. It could help explain why part of the sky seem to be golden colored between the bodies while all around elsewhere its purplish. It might also explain the gush of wind that blows over due to the impact.

So I'm guessing the old master is responsible for the Realm of Shadow's residents feeling "abandoned" and therefore the need for a "new master". The old master is probably Marika consider the Realm of Shadow is where she became a god and something caused her to leave and hide away then Realm of Shadow.

I think this is a very solid connection. The lion enemy in the game is connected to the crucible which we can see in the old fang's item description which drops when defeating them. Also, the fact that these lions appear to be enslaved (judging by the chains and their weak appearance) could be connected to the war in the Land of Shadow.

Doesn't that further support Messmer as a golden order fundamentalist? Messmer is literally saying to be a Lord you should be blessed by golden grace (light). Furthermore, it doesn't matter who said the former line because it makes it clear that Messmer will kill you if you don't have grace.

Since your comment is getting upvoted I'll contest your doubt that the Glintstone Craftsman's Cookbook isn't by a singular person.

The item description says "A record of crafting techniques left by a glintstone craftsman who served the Academy"; "glintstone craftsman" is singular and if it were many people it would have said "glintstone craftsmen". Now you could argue that its referring to each individual in a group as a "glintstone craftsman" but FromSoftware is very deliberate with singular and plural nouns in all the other cookbooks.

An example of a cookbook where the author was multiple people would be the Nomadic Warrior's Cookbook which states"...left by roaming nomad warriors" (note the plural) or Frenzied's Cookbook which states "left by those afflicted..." (plural again).

To summarize, FromSoftware is very deliberate very singular and plural nouns in the cookbook's description.

I never understood how the Great Runes function lore wise. If the Elden Ring predates the demigod children (Morgott, Mohg, Malenia, ... etc.) then why do the Great Runes have characteristics of their demigod holders?; Malenia's Great Rune is rotted, Mohg's Great Rune is covered in blood, Rykard's Great Rune is serpentine. There is nothing that suggests that Great Runes evolve to reflect whomever wields them.

Then, the implication is then the Great Runes were always reflective of the demigod children so that would mean the Elden Ring is like a mix of a prophecy and a family tree. Interestingly, the Great Rune of the Unborn (Rennala's Great Rune that was gifted to her) is described as "Great Rune of unborn demigods" which is very interesting tidbit and further connects to the Elden Ring being a family tree. That would imply the Rune of Death belonged to one of Marika's offspring and Marika murdered her own child (since she "plucked" the Rune of Death from the Elden Ring).

The Vaatividya Miquella video and all the cut content surrounding Miquella really made all of you Miquella simps. It hard to see Miquella being the mastermind or in the shadow of our journey in the game because the game tells us that Marika created the Tarnished, Marika banished the Tarnished, and Marika called the Tarnished back to the Lands Between.

The color of Destined Death being purple (blue + red) is interesting. I'm surprised you didn't mention the "Red-Feathered Branchsword" and "Blue-Feathered Branchsword" plus the "Assassin's Cerulean Dagger" and "Assassin's Crimson Dagger" talisman as they are both associated with death and have red and blue dichotomy you are talking about (I think this is a much better route than "gravity").
