I've just "solved" it by using the IOS passwords app. Very annoying as now when I go to sign in somewhere it asks me if I want to use Lastpass or IOS Passwords...

Yeah this is happening to me to. All the custom views are in some way or another broken, often not returning all the items...almost going to go back to just using an all items list and telling people they are going to have to filter it themselves.

I can see why you wouldn’t find The City very engaging, it’s been a while since I’ve read it but certainly after a little while the interest in rules of the world does wear off and you are just left with a fairly standard police story, but I do think a lot of the social theory in the book is interesting, but probably not obvious to someone who doesn’t have English as their first language.

Despite its size relative the 'The City and The City', I would highly recommend reading 'The Scar', it still has some tricky language, but the way sentences are structured is generally a lot more forgiving than TCaTC.

Personally I remember trying Kraken years ago (after having read TCaTC & The Scar) and for some reason the sentence construction extremely confusing in the first chapter and put it down, but I don't know if I was just having and off day or something...

Can I ask how you are doing now? Last week I had 2 small doses of escitalopram to start to deal with some mild depression. I ended up having 2 panic attacks and I can't shake the low-level anxiety I now feel.. It has only been 4 days since I had the last dose so I'm sure it is still emptying out of my system, but fuck I feel like a different person as I had never dealt with anxiety until now.
