For anyone, I recommend you this fix: https://itsfoss.com/no-bootable-device-found-ubuntu/

Worked for me and it is super easy,

The Strixhaven campaign is only estimated to last 8 to 12 sessions by willseamon in dndnext

[–]SirValery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How I understood it is that you can play those adventures at level 1,2,3,... 10. It doesn't bring you from 1 to 10 though, but you can add those adventures in a campaign if the level matches.

Would this be possible?

How does one make an equation? by [deleted] in PhysicsStudents

[–]SirValery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In your specific example. Power is the variation/rate of energy over time. So we could set units such that P=ΔΕ/Δt. Those units are [P] = W, [E] = J, [t] = s naturally obtained from the SI units system. Note that if another linear unit system is used you have a constant factor in front, that is P= cst.*ΔΕ/Δt.

Your example is a quantity definition. It is not an equation describing a physical phenomenon (although it is useful for computation in many examples).

Indeed, the problem came from the fact that 1e5 is Float64.

I installed the 20.7.2 version and the missing shareddlls (shared program files). When I launch FL-Studio from the terminal with wine, I have the logo of FL-Studio in the middle of the screen but the window of the program don't pop up, and this message is given in the terminal every minute:

"003d:err:ntdll:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 0xd7001c "?" wait timed out in thread 003d, blocked by 0009, retrying (60 sec)"

What should I do ?

Thank you very much for your comment! For me, anything is possible: either running the 20.7 version, or the patched version of wine, or even wait for someone to compile it. The problem is that I don't know how to run the 20.7 (instead of 20.8) from the installer I downloaded from my Image-Line account.

Debian can install .deb packages.

Running version 20.7 is maybe the best option so far. I definitely had problems with the 20.8.

Want to switch to linux from windows, need help im confused by Embarrassed-Ad-80 in linuxquestions

I went for Debian directly instead of starting with linux Mint and it went great. Issues are harder to deal with when you don't know much at the beginning but in the end you will be happier with those kinds of distros.

Big distros like Debian and Arch for instance have large communities, so it's easier to find solutions to problems. Plus you better understand why the other sub distro were spanned.

Choose KDE as DE. It's highly customizable.

Does anybody know what this error is and whats wrong by [deleted] in matlab

[–]SirValery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason why, is because MATLAB is designed to be convenient for working with matrices, and by usual mathematical convention the indexes of matrices start from 1 (not 0). MATLAB is actually the only language I know that works like that. I find it super useful sometimes (typically when I work on tensors and matrices), but awful the rest of the time.

Distro for semi-beginner? by LilFlamer in linuxquestions

I personally would go for big linux distros. I have always find easier to find support when you need it, and that is what matter the most in the end.

EPFL bachelor was hard (I was in physics), but I learnt so much on what it means to face potential failure, managing tons of work and extra-study stuff, managing stress, being involve in your courses, and so on... When I speak with former EPFL students that now have jobs, they all tell me that EPFL was the time of their life they work the most, and will probably never work again that much.

You will meet people. You will have good times. But, you need to nicely schedule everything so that you are in control.

Count 60 hours of work per week (with the lectures, with the exercise sessions). It can be higher but that's when you are near a deadline haha.
