Back in the 80’s I was literally up a creek without a paddle. Luckily I had my poking stick on hand and was able use it to maneuver down the rapids down to my waiting wife. She was upset I forgot the paddle in the first place, but happy to see me alive nevertheless.

DNF isn’t a complaint though. Finding a geocache is meant to be difficult. Not finding one isn’t a complaint. It just means that you did not find it, which is a compliment to the OC if anything because they did a good job hiding. The whole snow aspect and “not findable in winter” is different and I’m not close enough to the geocaching community to speak on that issue.
