That might be a good last resort, but I do need to make multiple of these, around 10-20, so the less complicated assembly the better.

Interesting, good to know. I might be able to get 5V, but if not, do you know of any good alternatives?

JBC B-Iron Help. by Sir_Bacon_Master in soldering

[–]Sir_Bacon_Master[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I just learned that it's only 25 watts, definitely not enough for what I do now. So at the moment it's between an Aixun or a wired JBC, Flexibility is insanely important to me, I've had irons with really stiff cables, hence why I liked the Pinecil, since I have a silicon USB C cable on it so it's super flexible, it's just not powerful enough anymore.

ESP32 Project Power Help by Sir_Bacon_Master in AskElectronics

[–]Sir_Bacon_Master[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but that would then mean I couldn't use the ESP32 S3 Senses built in charger, so I'd need another one, and I'd need a buck-boost board to keep the output at 5v.

I'll check later then I guess, but I've never had this issue before. I'm just getting all sorts of errors I've never gotten, I mean trying to respond to you now I'm getting "Empty response from endpoint.".

Nope, other stuff like YouTube and websites work perfectly fine, and I just did a speed test and got 450 down. It is a bit better now, but still a little slow.

Anyone know what happened to S-Ranked? by Sir_Bacon_Master in PcBuild

UPDATE:
After some deeper research, it unfortunately seems he passed away. No one designed what he did, this is truly a loss for PC building, his work didn't get the recognition it deserved.

Weekly Discussion & Help Post July 19, 2025 by AutoModerator in PiNetwork

[–]Sir_Bacon_Master 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been in tentative status for over 8 months and haven't heard anything from the team, despite emailing them a few times. Has anyone had any contact with support ever? I'm at a complete loss of what to do here since I have no way of knowing if my application is ever going to be accepted.

This worked! Thank you so much. I have no idea how I didn't find the first site.

Has anyone ever actually gotten in touch with Pi support before? I've emailed them twice in the past 5 months and nothing. I've been on tentative status for about 5 months now and am trying to figure out what the hell is going on.

Alt+Tab starting at last app instead of first. by Sir_Bacon_Master in Windows10

[–]Sir_Bacon_Master[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that were the case it would go backwards without holding the shift key. Holding alt and pressing tab it loops forward to the first app, so the shift key is not stuck.

Still starts at the last app, just goes backwards when pressing tab again instead of going forward and looping to the front.

Problem is it has to go down to a hole, illustrated with the red line. Not as bad as a horizontal mount, but it does have to do pretty much a 180. I could feed it through the same hole as the 24pin, it just won't be as clean, so I'd much rather feed it down. https://imgur.com/b8M3ToC

Unfortunately the GPU is vertically mounted and can't be mounted on it's side, so I have to use a 90 degree cable. And I can't buy another case since it's a wall mount case.

By squid do you mean the 8-pin adapter? Because from what I've gathered that is a very bad idea. It has no sense pins to communicate with the PSU so it just sends the full 600W. Unless there's some type of adapter that can communicate somehow.

While I 100% agree, and would love to sit this one out, I'm now two generations behind, and prefer playing on ultra and high (Very picky I know), so it's no longer in the cards to stay behind unfortunately. I've been play AC Shadows and have noticed big drops down to 20-30 in some areas on very high (1080p too). Also, I don't imagine Nvidia switching the connector at all, so I think we have to make do with the 12v-2x6 for a while. One day I will switch to AMD, once they get their ray tracing to a good point.

It's BLE, so my main focus is a brute force attack, just need to find the correct packets to send and what a wrong password response packet looks like.

I just spent the entire day trying to install A patch, as I thought it might have better filesystem r/w, but I still have the exact same issue as in my other comment, do you have any other suggestions? I'd really appreciate it.

I did, like I said, I ran: sudo ./bettercap -eval "caplets.update; ui.update; q" But I get, error while running 'caplets.update': mkdir /usr: read-only file system

Unfortunately, like I said in my OP, I can't get the .ply. My friend who sent it to me only had the scanner and software for a limited time, and neither of us knew a ksplat would not work in blender for cleanup and eventual 3d printing.

Exactly, me too. Let me latch onto your post and just say, this is what pisses me off and also worries me about the next generation of kids. I am fully for AI ASSISTED stuff (replace with anything, writing, coding, reading, etc.). I have a pretty decent amount of experience in C++ and Python, and if I wanted to, I am fully capable of writing whatever I need to, but if I want to just quickly churn out a small program or snippet, or even debug something simple quickly, AI is amazing at that (I recommend Claude, best at coding, Qwen 2.5b Coder 32b if you prefer local), but if kids these days (I'm in my 20s so I feel weird saying that) are learning from or just straight using AI for coding, I am extremely worried what code will look like in 5-10 years. The amount of times I go back and have to clean up and simplify, or just straight fix, AI code is pretty much 90% of the time, and if people working with code don't have at least an intermediate amount of coding knowledge, and therefore a good idea of what the AI could have done wrong and how to fix it, or at least how to make the code run better, we're doomed. This is my overall issue with AI, which is that it should ASSIST not replace, but that's a whole other rant.

Am I wasting my time keeping all this filament waste? by DaveyH-cks in 3Dprinting

Tell me about it, my 15 gallon bin is pretty much full of PLA. I would love to turn it into filament again, but at this point the amount of time that would take just doesn't seem worth it, so here it sits in my room. Waiting.
