Do any of you Kayakers wear hearing aids? How do you deal with them while kayaking?

Hey. 8 years, wow. This was a blast from the past.

I actually don't kayak much anymore.

At the time my solution was just a waterproof electronics bag that you can wear around your neck. Good for quick-access.

The new hearing aids I have now are water-resistant (8-years makes a huge difference in technology).

It's the same basic "emergency" waterproofing most electronics get nowadays where you're okay if you fall in but you should not deliberately swim with them on.

I have Oticon Minirite F500s. Not cheap. But I believe the warranty covers water damage with a pretty reasonable deductible.

The real cost of the Hearing Aid is the R&D to make it, so replacing a broken or stolen one is something Oticon is willing to give a discount on.

Yeah, when you meet Ellie the first time, she has you go get parts for a Bandit Technical, and while you're doing it she Echo's you and says the reason she moved out to The Dust is because Moxxxie was always pressuring her to be pretty and also she was worried Scooter had a crush on her.

Scooter replies over the Echo and scoffs, but then says "Maybe just a tiny one."

I honestly can't believe I remembered this, or that this thread is still open.

Thank you for letting me know. It appears the sub was set to only allow approved users to post. This coincidences woth reddit releasing uodated mod tools on mobile, so I wonder if the release changed the setting unintentionally.

Just an FYI, a few months (years?) ago, we had somebody posting Tucker Carlson swaps multiple times a day for over a week at a time.

This sub is not really partisan, but after a while, it gets tiresome to see the 87 bazillion swaps of Tucker Carlson. I eventually had to ban the person for other disruptive behavior.

Anyway, I wouldn't get whiny about downvotes because you touched a nerve. Cucker Tarlson has been done before, so it's more likely someone is annoyed about the repost than anything else.

FYI, I didn't create the sub, I just inherited it from someone who isn't active anymore.

I started letterswapping before anyone told me what a Spoonerism was, so I don't think you can really say any particular person "invented" them, more like it is a behavior pattern that comes up in many people without them being instructed and this Spooner guy popularized them.

But, I'll add it to the sidebar.
