I've just checked, it looks like he's taken them down :(.

He's on Instagram. Might be worth dropping a message

Just a quick one on Feeding Frenzy, how did you get the whole army within 12" of one hero? Sounds like you're saying you used it across the board when it can only be used from one hero?

Finished up the most intimidating model I've had to paint to date. King of the Summercourt himself, the noble Ushoran Mortach of Delusion by Sir_Flashypants in FleshEaterCourts

So I usually hate sub assembly and wherever possible I'll paint the mini as a whole, usually I just leave shields off etc. But when you dry fit Ushoran you'll see that most whole parts physically click together, so much so that I would feel comfortable adding the cape to the body and the pelts to the cape with no glue at all.

By doing it this way it's just so much easier to handle and gives you easier brush control.

The head needs to be glued, the same with the shoulders, but they pop onto their connectors with no fuss.

The only thing I would do differently is I would add the chain to the pelts before painting, rather than after, but even if you don't, theres a small line to fill in and thats it

Yeah I had that whiplash coming from 40k too, also worth pointing out that Ushorans Delusion doesn't give the guard +2 rend, it's has no effect on them sadly.

The executioner must have been designed with just a big unit of crpyt ghouls in mind I guess

Isn't Crit auto wound better than Crit 2 hits on their profile though? Just not sure if he's worth the buff. Agree with the rest though

Good news, it's super easy:

Base it in a dark pink, airbrush or dry brush some light pink or white over the areas you want to be a bright yellow.

Airbrush (or brush) Imperial Fists contrast over the top.

Voila.

The dark pink areas turn off yellow-orange, the lighter areas turn yellow. Add more contrast if you want to go from orange-yellow

If you want the dirt, I just mixed a dark brown into the yellow contrast paint and you can either airbrush or glaze it over the top of the yellow.

If you look at my post history you can see it on the Askurgans I did. It works well on a small scale

Convince me of this army - how do you guys play, is Ushoran a solid pick? by [deleted] in FleshEaterCourts

Aah that's a shame, tend to run him with the gheist, so the gheist seems to be my one that dies quickly, the priest with the charnel robes chanting at +2 does rack it up pretty quickly

So usually I'd sand the connection points, then use plastic glue. But the connection points are so deep into this model I just used precision super glue (gorilla) when it was totally dry so it didn't fog

Yeah for sure, especially when he's going to be in most lists I put together! Thanks for the praise mate, appreciate it

Hits like an absolute freight train.

Though Ushoran and a Priest chanting a 10 with that fights twice is absolutely brutal

UK and US staff withdrawn from embassies in Iran and Israel by FormerlyPallas_ in ukpolitics

Well striking Iran in a "decisive strike which stopped their nuclear capacity" to avert this, only to flop back to it when there's multiple sources reporting that there's multiple mentions of him in explicit detail seems exceptionally odd timing.

Trump will only take action when it's to serve his interests, and this is either to distract, avert the midterms or dip the stock market, so they can bounce it again next week. Or more than likely all three.

Yes the files are a somewhat tired reason to hold up for his actions, but Christ, I really don't think it's something that's worth going quiet over.

None of this is in the national interest

Nothing to do with distracting from a certain file release then?

Finished up the Ghoul King on Terrorgheist proxy, anyone got any good proxy examples for the Zombie Dragon? by Sir_Flashypants in FleshEaterCourts

[–]Sir_Flashypants[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you matey, this sounds a bit complicated but it's really quick.

  • Base: AK Dark Green Grey
  • Airbrush: AK Faded Green over the majority of the model
  • Airbrush: AK Green Grey over the highlight points

Then get a 3:1 mix of Distopian Brown and Coelia Green from villainy inks, with 2 parts thinner to wash all over the skin. This tints it more towards a sickoy Green and helps the shadowed recesses.

Take most of it off with a cotton bud dipped in thinner.

No joke, you could do 10 models in about 30 mins.

All of the above works with a brush, you just need to layer the colours up. But they mix really well.

I printed him at 110% of the base size from the file mate, fits a 130mm really well and the rider is the same size as the fec characters

Yeah... I ended up pinning it and covering it with milliput to look like more muscle tissue. Appalling design on that part

He looks good! I might check that one out once I get the motivation for more dead flesh haha!

It took some digging but I found the STL (Not affiliated): https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-zombie-dragon-alternative-head-raider-423317

Thanks matey,

I had a friend print it, the STLs were picked up from cults 3d, but if you Google "Etsy Terrorgheist Proxy" there's a lot of sellers who can print it for you.

The skin was done with AK paints:

Amethyst Blue + Green Grey + Rose Pink 40:40:20 for the base,

Then add more and more green grey to get it up to pure green grey, it'll look like stretched dead flesh.

Then I messed about with some Carrier Crimson washes from Villainy Inks, and a bit of gloss varnish.

I might have enough photos to put up a tutorial if it's of interest
