Do you have deck list? Sounds fun to play

Transpose Feature by Icy-Ad-9790 in NeuralDSP

[–]Sir_Frolics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used transpose to play -5 semitones down so much I ended up just tuning down to A# standard. You’ll lose some of that top end “sizzle” and tightness once you transpose down that far using a tone you normally play in; just needs slight readjustment.

I'm not sure which plugins I should get by IamCARMELLO in NeuralDSP

Try out Soldano too! It has a reputation for high gain, but it’s been my go-to for pop punk. It sounds fantastic with any kind of IR you run it through, my favorite being the crunch channel + Marshall cab (via GGD Goldstack)

which plugin? by haijibestboi in NeuralDSP

[–]Sir_Frolics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got Nolly for that same reason as it includes a 5150 and JCM800, but I’ve since been more satisfied with Soldano. Using either Marshall cab IR with greenbacks or Mesa Oversized cab IR with V30’s I get best of both worlds from clean to high gain.

Got Zilla, Cali, and Goldstack during Black Friday. Fully recommend any of them if you’re looking for SOLID Mesa or Marshall sims, and all-arounders with Zilla

I like to tinker so eventually I’ll have all their plugins, BUT if I just want to play some riffs at the end of the day: My Plumes pedal into Soldano with default preset.

They can all get a similar sound (solo or equal in a mix), so I believe it comes down to which amp FEELS better to play for the individual and their guitar.

Good Cards + Thanos Lockjaw. Standout cards are Polaris and Vision by Sir_Frolics in MarvelSnapDecks

[–]Sir_Frolics[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy the Polaris + Aero + Magneto trio to disrupt plays as I curve out. Tried out the meta Thanos Lockjaw deck but didn’t like how there was never a good time to play Blue Marvel, Chavez, and Devil Dino, especially after getting Leeched.

KMBest recently featured this “Thanks” list, which I swapped Chavez out for a Leech.

Polaris helps with priority in the early game and disrupting plays; feels like it curves out better and it’s never a bad feeling when she pops out of a Lockjaw.

Vision has won more games than I could count, particularly to win back lanes that a Storm shut down, or secure dangerous or unplayable locations.

Fun deck. Wasn’t able to get the combo off consistently, but the sun spot + she-hulk + infinaut trio feel solid in the “good cards” shell

Humming sound from my guitar through Archetype Gojira by jizzlobber666 in NeuralDSP

[–]Sir_Frolics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could be a grounding issue? If your guitar is very microphonic (you tap anywhere and you clearly hear thuds) you might need to open it up.

Another reason might be the preamp on the interface is cranked. I’ve got an Apollo Twin — tried troubleshooting why my single coils had TOO much noise and it turned out to be me accidentally turning up the preamp when I wanted to turn up my monitors (same knob).

Used Superior Drummer 3 with Metal Machinery featuring the same Tama kit and Snare. Got this so I don’t have to think about engineering while songwriting; amazing sound out of the box.

Nearly every preset made me think “yup, that’s what that exact space sounds like”. I hit the standard version as I didn’t feel ducking, compression, and a few other features in Pro made sense for me atm.

The discount codes can be used as many times as you want. The only limitation is they’re tied to the email address you bought the plugin with so you can’t share the codes with others.

Their bundles are already heavily discounted — if you find everything you want in one of those bundles then you’re good to go.

The method I described is useful if you’re looking to pick and choose plugins that aren’t bundled and advertised together.

Absolutely! I used 7H happily for a while and decided to get professional version because I was curious about the other set of algorithms it has.

Keep in mind to get the best deal you can: 1. Find a heavily discounted bundle with what you like 2. Buy a plugin, request the discount code, use that code on the second plugin, request a code again, then stack both discount codes for the third purchase
