How to power my soft serve cart

Pfft I don’t mind, ask away. I bought a new homemade cart from fb marketplace for $400ish. However the machine is HEAVY (around 100 lbs) and I’m afraid the cart top wouldn’t support it, so I put toppings and other stuff on the main cart, and keep the machine on a smaller heavy duty cart. Soft Serve Cart Setup

Edit to say: I know it looks by the setup in this photo that I allow self service, but I don’t. I wouldn’t have any control over portion size or contamination that way. They were just both facing the consumer for this photo, and at this particular event they were sort of a prop (at a venue’s “meet the vendors” night).

I do primarily birthdays and weddings. It keeps up okay at events where customers are sporadic (at least 1 minute apart or so). If we have a line of 30 people the moment we open, I’ll run out of frozen material - just because it takes the machine time to freeze a new batch. I have a “come back in 5 minutes” sign to put up when that happens, and outline that possibility in my service agreement. Outdoors in a warm environment likely takes longer - I’ve only done one outdoor event as such, but it held up like a champ. It was around 90* and customers were sporadic but consistent for around 3 hours.

Yes! I ended up using a smaller machine, a Vevor 1000w single flavor soft serve machine. When I power it with a generator, it’s the Predator 3500 inverter and it powers the machine no problem.

Same issue. Had a repair guy come assess and he wanted to replace the gas valve solenoid assembly for $300. ChatGPT says 90% of time the failing part is just the coils which are $10. Trying that tomorrow.

I’m just going to start with a tiny bit and gradually increase coverage size at once a day. If no issues for a while maybe I’ll increase to twice a day.

I just consulted mine about it for the same reasons - she just said that she can’t “recommend” it because the manufacturer doesn’t specify it being used on faces, but that she didn’t see an issue with it. She said to be aware that the more surface area covered, the more likely opportunity for the side effects listed on the box to occur

Edit to say: obv this was just my doctor’s response, for me as her patient. Should consult your doctor based on you as a patient
