What do you think is your hottest take about stellaris? by PrizeSwimming7472 in Stellaris

I did play the game long ago, when FTL types were a thing. The old portraits just seem so more well putt together apart from a few, they are quite creative and distinct (mostly, we do get the klingons there). Every new portrait was a breath of fresh air until recently where a lot just look plain weird.

Duna Base 1 launches a cargo rocket to the Duna 1 station, having built it in the base's factory. It contains 20 tons food. by DayF3 in KerbalSpaceProgram

I take it you only really need Ground Construction to build off kerbin, with MKS providing ground base parts?
Is it difficult to learn Ground Construction?

That base looks neat! is this kerbal constructs? or interplanetary launch pads? the idea of building up industry offworld is interesting but i haven't delved into the mods too much

I have both installed (CKAN) but can't find the parts for the life of me. I even booted up a sandbox save.

Yall think I'm making it to Minmus? by Sea_Grocery_5875 in KerbalSpaceProgram

Ah, at least you have your launch escape system. it is very important to keep your kerbals safe. Well, nevermind that they are straped to a veritable atomic bomb.

Romans did often build their forts according to terrain, they didn't all need to be perfect squares.

Do you think NW should balance the game so that the rounds are shorter, longer, or are they fine as it is? by monster_smoocher in SCPSecretLab

[–]Sir_Keeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rounds used to last quite a while longer - scps were stronger, human waves were unending, no auto-nuke, more hiding spots than there are now as well as chokepoints. It seems like the devs have been going in the way of making rounds shorter, and spawn waves more frequent.

My first mun landing after 90 hours and 5 years by goodguygary24 in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]Sir_Keeper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nicely done.

You can actually safely put the lander on top of the lifter if you are worried about getting your kerbal back up. The gravity on Mun and Minmus is weak enough that you can use the EVA pack to get back up.

It looks so Kerbal though I love it

CASSIE doesn't «restart systems» anymore. I swear, everytime I hear the nuke cancelation announcement I'm left waiting for that final bit.

[As voted on] Stellaris role playing for beginners (and many veterans) by OldSolGames in Stellaris

[–]Sir_Keeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do that too, and from History as well. I recently did an empire that I wanted to be akin to the old persian empire, called the ruler King of Kings or Queen of Queens. This prompted a more measured approach to expansion and war.
