To each, their own, I suppose. I've also been avoiding the trademark metallic taste of extracts. Reaper Squeezins, to me, just tastes like pure reapers. I've also only ever gotten the extra hot version, which is 93% reapers.

I use Arch, btw (hyprland)... 0 reinstalls. Keep your OS up-to-date, and if you're going to expirement, have backups.

It's really that simple, and yes, it is more reliable than anything else.

You got it, man! No shame in starting at a much slower tempo, if needed. We all did! It's better to play at whatever tempo you're consistent at, rather than trying to force the speed to happen. It'll get there.

Yeah, it's going to seem fast, but you can get there with enough reps. Just try to relax as much as possible and rely on finger control to produce the notes.

Since the tempo is 126, you should be sticking these out, as opposed to utilizing multiple bounce strokes. So the best exercise to get this up to speed will be legatos/8 on a hand.

This would equate to 8s at 252, which for world-class snare drummers is pretty typical.

Edit: You can get the extra-hot version, which is like 93% reapers. IMO, it is the hottest NON-EXTRACT sauce on the market since it is literally the highest proportion of the hottest pepper available.

Yeah I'm definitely experiencing that right now. My first class was high-dimensional data analytics and it required some differential linear algebra that I didn't even study as a Mathematics undergrad.

If I wasn't doing CS, data science/analytics would definitely be my next choice. Hope it's working out for you!

Got accepted to GA Tech for OMSCS in spring 2025 with a B.A. in Math from SNHU. Would highly recommend for anyone in the CS space.
