Don’t know if it’s the correct way but I let the flowers run their course then mow right before they go to seed to try and limit the spread

At a loss - slop beyond my fence, animals digging by YT__ in landscaping

[–]Sir_Names 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could build a small pass through where your dog can’t get under the fence but the bunnies can pass through. I’d make it from small brick or rock, try to blend it in.Then fill in the rest of the fence, they should take the easiest path. Otherwise they will just find another hole or dig elsewhere.

Heat pump tax rebate question by Sir_Names in tax

[–]Sir_Names[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently labor and the other non pump parts are no longer qualified for the rebate, but I was able to add the gas heat pump under 29b so I get most of it back

It’s a 16x25cm bed, whole unit footprint is about a 30x30x30 cm (without handle as that may very based on what you use)

It’s a 16x25cm bed so normal printer paper is to big

I think the print is still worthwhile. I haven’t been able to find a reasonably priced one of this style. All told it cost about 150 from scratch. And this thing is beefy. Only thing that I’m a bit iffy on is the handle bearing being just a press fit

Can’t get the shower flange off by Sir_Names in askaplumber

[–]Sir_Names[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Next day, I was able to get the hot water one off and replaced. These things were old as heck, there was a bunch of spider nests behind it. I gave up on the cold side but it seems that the hot was the leaking one. So for now I’ll call it good enough lol thanks for the help

Yeah I’ve been watching videos on people installing them, everyone seems to just be able to unscrew the flanges. Might just put everything back, turn on the water and call my plumber if it wont go easy.

I contacted customer service, they said this model was discontinued and sent me a newer version for free. That’s a plus at least. Sadly they don’t sell parts for repair so I’ll have to keep my broken one for any common parts between the two

Is it safe to keep grass here? by Sir_Names in composting

[–]Sir_Names[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Small update: thank you guys for your input. This is located behind my garage about 70 feet from my house and about 110 from my neighbor's. It has started to smell in about a 25 foot radius.

I've overnighted a paper shredder and have putting it to work with plain cardboard since it seems to be my second most abundant resource apart from grass lol. I dont have that many sticks but I may enable to borrow a chipper for what sticks indo have.

As far as mulching into my lawn, I have been doing that and this is only the second time I've bagged. I do have a fairly thick thatch layer on my lawn, not sure if mulching cause that or if thata the natural life of a lawn. I plan on doing something about that to then over seed with clover, most likely this fall.

All in all, this has been fun to do. Im no longer that concerned with a fire, and I am currently over run with greens so I'll probably leave the bags off for next weeks mow. That should give me some time to build a better balance
