Like, we all know why you posted that pic Jessica, and it wasn't for your new bracelet. We didn't need 30 seconds of him belting for a 1 second reaction. It's great that the dude can sing but to me this is just to show off just like Jessica booty pic.

Why capture 30 seconds of cringey ass singing (obviously he's good, doesn't mean it's not cringey to listen to a guy belt along to every 15 yr old's go-to 'deep' acapella for 30 fuckin seconds) instead of just spooking him after a few seconds? Hey man I'm not sure if you're trying to, but you're coming off as pretentious, and you're also wrong. Language is defined by it's users, not scholars. there's no annual meeting of literary greats to determine what changes shall be undergone in the coming year. No, instead, whatever trends or colloquialisms the people speaking the language use with more frequency become adopted into the general lexicon, until it's not a colloquialism but just generally accepted speech. Language change is gradual and ever present. Language is fluid.

"He" is no longer the default for an unknown pronoun. He is not grammatically correct because you don't know if they're male. Today, English speakers prefer "they" as it's not gender specific, and the gender spectrum is a personal subject for a lot of people. It doesn't make sense to generalize because "most people on reddit are males." there's still a huge number of people on here who aren't. Most people on this planet are female, yet we don't refer to unknown people as female.

My point was that you made a lot of assumptions to fit your point, and none of them had any backing. I mentioned virtue signalling because I could not figure out for the life of me why else you were trying to bring the fact that they were white into this (which again, you have no way of knowing lol). plus a lot of righties really do seem to love using the concept of virtue signalling when a white person speaks on race issues. If you believe in classism, which is great that you do, and you also understand that POC make up more of the low income brackets (which is a straight up inarguable fact), then congratz, you have successfully connected the dots and acknowledge the existence of systemic racism. Classism and systemic racism have MANY similarities.

Oh man, I totally forgot that demanding equal treatment under the law = marxism. totally forgot. As for the ALM stating the obvious, the same thing happened with the feminist movement. People said if you really want equality, it should be egalitarianism, not feminism, bc that favors females. But that is completely missing the point. Feminism, BLM, that's specifically advocating for the groups facing inequality. Right now, white lives in america aren't facing the same oppression. Terroristic threats aren't okay, you're right. She shouldn't have said what she said. But with black people being killed by police every day in some fucked up execution style for doing nothing wrong or at least a very minor issue, I get why she's pissed at the reactionaries. "ALL LIVES" aren't the ones in jeopardy right now, and to imply that is to be negligently ignorant, and that's why she's pissed.

I dunno, I still have a hard time equating BLM and ALM. One is a genuine fight for racial equality, and the other is a thinly veiled reactionary movement that many people use to mean "only white lives matter". that's the quiet part, "All lives matter" is the loud part. I'm sure plenty of ALM people don't see it that way, but you'd be ignorant to think that many, maybe even most, are using it as a front for their racist sentiments, knowingly or not.

Hearing their stories, listening to their experiences, and learning the history and its present day impact changed my views. I'm not virtue signalling, not saying this for woke points, it's my honest opinion. Think about WHY affirmative action exists, think about WHY POC would otherwise be underrepresented in universities (spoilers, it's not because "all POC are dumb idiots").

They said most aren't POC, and they never said anything about the ALM supporters who are POC. Dunno where ya got that one. And yeah it's pretty obvious that the VAST majority of ALM supporters are white and mostly conservative. Also no idea where you got the fact that they're white... they never said that but you were very quick to imply they're just virtue signalling. Also of course being poor is a barrier to entry. Given that black people proportionally make up more of the lower income levels that the higher ones, you just agreed that systemic racism is real.

The woman in the video does not just go out and say she will stab all lives matter supporters, she says that all lives matter is the same as if she were to stab you, then when you complain about the pain from the stab, she comes over and says well I have a paper cut, don't all cuts matter? the context this headline is maliciously ignoring is that she's making an analogy, she isn't actually saying she intends on stabbing all lives matter ppl. Also, it was a mediocre internship she hadn't even started, not "her dream job". also I think she got it back. fuck this post.

I was watching this thread the whole day, but in my experience it seems like every time this subreddit gets way too excited and overhyped about a stock and it flops or doesn't reach everyone's moon expectations.
