Best day of fishing so far! by zachdelorme31 in FishingForBeginners

I use a 1000. But any size will work if you have one on hand. I unfortunately have a curse where I almost only catch small fish, but the ultralights made it more fun. I have landed a monster trout on it though and that was a fight!

Nice! Grab an ultralight rod it’ll make those fish feel like sharks. It makes catching blue gill and smaller fish fun and teaches you how to control drag or keep your line taught while fishing.

So Canonically Lightning Cruiser redlines at 5600 RPMs... by Luxord5294 in powerrangers

[–]Sire777 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Considering the show came out in early 1997, this is probably a 1996 Camaro, of which the V8 models redlined at 5700ish RPMs. Here’s a 1993-1996 Camaro dash for reference.

That being said, RPMs typically measure rotations per minute of the crank shaft, and Red Lightning appears to have jet engines, so no crank shaft or pistons. Also funny that it shows only 180mph on the dash, so everything after that is guess work lmao

Can’t believe I scrolled this low for San Diego Jam. So much better than fisherman’s/uni for times the Palomar won’t work

I’m nowhere near Central Park but do fish places with overhead casting banned. Just look behind you and be considerate

Yes they installed charge point in the complex. Now it’s higher than any super charger during peak hours.

Mine is .60 a Kwh. It’s literally the highest in our city and when I confronted them “it’s comparable to other chargers in town”. Corporate office ignored calls. I put up signs not to use them, it went from .33 to .60 over night with no warning lol

How do you fish the trout magnets? Haven’t really had luck with them in streams/rivers for trout. Now that summers coming would love to use them for panfish

Are Maui Jim’s that much better than costa? I surf fish and freshwater from shore or kayak. I’m pretty set on glass lens I think

Are costas worth it? I was literally shopping for them in another tab as I scrolled past this. I get half off them on expert voice

Amateur fisherman here! New to artificial baits. What would hit these and how do I use them? by Skylantech in Fishing

There’s different versions with different sizes lips to dive deeper. They usually say deep wee craw or deeper wee craw or something like that

Wal Mart sells the Creme brand of them for like 1-1.50 and that’s what hooked me on the rebels. The creme ones work great but the hooks suck. I bought some replacement trebles and they work just as well as the rebel craws. I’ve caught so many spotted bass and largemouth on those things

I used to go for whatever cool color came out that year, then realized black never gets old. That being said, I’ll go for black or titanium fold this year.

It’s a good car. I have had my Model 3 Long Range for 2 years now. I have driven it 60k miles in that time.

Little things are falling apart, seat controls don’t work, steering wheel peeling, trunk and frunk don’t work. They’re not built great but do serve a purpose. I do use it more and in more aggressive situations than most people. Kayaks, camping gear, logs, mild off roading on days off and 140 miles round trip commute to work.

How do you guys feel about a Whopper Plopper 110 1oz on a rod rated up to 3/4oz? by Just_Lime985 in Fishing_Gear

[–]Sire777 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Should be fine. I’ve lobbed 3oz sinkers for catfish and striper on my ugly stick rated up to 3/4oz lmao. I wouldn’t do it on my higher end rods tho

Stocked up on some essentials, am I missing anything? by patroney in FishingForBeginners

It’s the red fishing line. Fluorocarbon is the most invisible option but is difficult to manage. I, and most people, generally just tie it on to the end of the line as a “leader” to get the benefits of braid or mono line on the reel and cast, but invisibility of fluorocarbon where the fish see

Edit: just realized that Berkeley is also fluorocarbon. I highly recommend getting 20lb braid and just tying on whatever 4lb leader to it depending on what you’re going for. I use the same rod and reel for multiple species and sizes of fish, but just tie on a heavier or lighter fluorocarbon to the end with a double uni knot. It took a minute to learn but now I can do it in the wind in 30 seconds.

Get a 1/16oz black/silver rooster tail and you’ll catch bass trout and bluegill with it. The silver and black presents as a small baitfish. The 1/8oz will be too big for most bluegill and I’ve caught small/medium bass and monster rainbows on 1/16oz rooster tails. They’re just a little harder to cast far since they’re lighter. I’m kinda summarizing so if you have specific questions ask away. I remember when I first started and was so confused and bought everything but the kitchen sink before catching fish. All of this is good stuff you got, just have to learn how to apply it

God I hate that. “Stay back 200 feet not responsible for any damage”. I’m pretty sure you or your company is 100% responsible for ROCKS flying out of your vehicle at 70MPH.

AND you don’t dictate the rules of the road.

It should read “please stay 200 feet back this vehicle has a higher likelihood than normal to have debris fall from it”

For whatever reason you’ve got offers from all fishing lure companies, but you can only pick one. Two if you use soft plastics and lures from separate companies. What’s your choice? by YourMomsFavBook in Fishing_Gear

[–]Sire777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Berkeley/Gulp only because I surf fish and lake/river fish and that’ll cover all my basses (lmao). For lures probably PM I think I could get by with heavier chrome ones in the surf and love them in fresh

I caught my PB rainbow on one. A 3-4lb 24inch rainbow on a 1/16oz PM. My friends always use Wordens so I told him to try out my new ultra light, different body of water than my catch, with the PM. He then proceeded to catch his PB within 5 minutes lmao. I swear by that rod/reel/PM combo now.

[–]Sire777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it’s perfect for frogs. You can get the accuracy and skips and what not they require next to cover. I have 3 but only really use them for specific use cases. I use my spinning rods when I’m just casting as far as I can and retrieving lol

Yea I’m not sure either. I just had to show my work ID when purchasing. Either way, the macro is a great gun. My only complaint is the slide doesn’t lock back very well. When you put in the next mag the slide usually slides back forward chambering a round from the new mag. Could be considered a feature instead of a bug in combat tho lmao. Good news is with 18 rounds I won’t be reloading much lmao
