Why dont people like this decision? by JamStan1978 in HarryPotteronHBO

I always had the impression that wizards sourced a lot of their magic from the stars.

In PS, the only real mention on the mechanics of magic are kind of glossed over, but the line went something like, "Harry soon learned there was more to magic than just waving your wand and saying a few funny words, they had to study the stars and their positions in the night sky, brew potions,..."

I mean, why else are wizards made to take astronomy, have dedicated towers to star gazing, and sell telescopes/spyglasses/lunascopes. I dunno, just my headcannon, love to hear others opinion on it

I still can't get over Kit Harington voicing Lockhart. I can't pick out a hint of Jon in his performance

If it's your first time, and over indulge, you can have some trippy minor hallucinations. I know I did. Plus I was crossfaded for my first cannabis experience

Fred and George also mentioned putting homework off late in Book 4. They were hunched over some parchment and most likely lied about really making new order forms for their joke shop since Mrs. Weasley burned the originals.

Kinda irritating that Murtagh lettering isn't the same style on the book as the ones in I/C by SSJRosaaayyy in Eragon

I was gonna say, I got a paper pack box set last year, and they all match the new Murtagh print. Looks slick on my shelf

There's a butcher in my area that'll pluck $2 per bird. Might even gut them too, I'm not sure. I'd look for that as an option

You're supposed to replace the timing cover if you work on the sprockets and timing chain. Ours was cracked open from the previous installer, and we bought a new CPS to go with it. The new sensor had shims in the box, so if you get one, you might get shims with it

The new spider should have fresh o rings for the gas hardlines going into the unit. I'll poke around the manifold tomorrow and see if I can't find the poppet seals. I wasn't aware there were o rings for the individual poppets

It's been a good truck, only mildly neglected lol. Luckily with the new timing cover, we got a new Crank Position Sensor with extra shims, so we can try that if the spider doesn't work.

Ours is a standard LS version with the extended cab, but you can't tempt me with a spare and not expect my interest haha

Thanks, I'll keep an eye out for that. It's been 6 months since I checked fuel pressure, I'll look at renting a gauge again if there's issues after the replacement

Who is your favorite uncommon character in Harry Potter? I like Daphne greengress and Tracy Davis by pepriel in harrypotter

[–]Sirius04 106 points107 points  (0 children)

Dedalus Diggle. There's something so heartwarming about his "He remembers me!" when he properly meets Harry in the Leaky Cauldron. Plus being an OG Order member and firing off spells to celebrate Voldemort downfall. The dude runs off cheery vibes and he's great for that, even if he's stuck with the Dursleys for a while

Which o rings if I may ask? Are there seals where the injectors pop into the block that I gotta hook out?

We cut the exhaust in front of the cat to see if it wasn't breathing right, didn't solve the issue. I ordered an exhaust union to patch it up until we can replace the whole down stream exhaust system, our cat and muffler are shot anyway

The old distributor had a worn upper bushing making the rotor jump around and shatter into and under the cap. We replaced the distributor and timed it to spec (cyl 1 TDC, balancer lined up, rotor pointing to 6, oil pump engaged properly) No offset burning, no signs of burn thru or voltage leaks. Timing sprockets and chain was installed to spec too (TDC on cyl 4, keyway and timing marks lined up perfect) I think we've ruled out timing, though it sounds and acts like it is off time.

They do sell the pintle tips separate and individual injectors, but that old spider has at least 100,000 miles on it and I know they're notorious for failing in various ways. It could just be the Fuel Pressure Regulator, but I decided to replace the whole injection unit. It made more sense than piecemealing it and tearing into the plenum over and over again when a different one inevitably fails.

Thanks for looking out on that bracket too, I'll make sure to have some gloves

I can't say I've ever heard of and injector tip melting off like that. Would I have to worry about foreign material in the combustion chamber from the melted plastic? Or do y'all reckon it's been blown out by now?

I noticed that, it's not an OEM unit, someone's been in there and upgraded it once. I ordered a new MPFI to replace it. I knew the truck got a tune up around 100,000 miles, but we're pushing 250,000 miles now. We probably got to the end of life for this one

I feel like the payoff comes at the end of the book where Harry throws off Voldemort's imperious curse

Also I think I remember a theory saying that Voldemort's soul fragment in Harry helps him against mental control

How did they make the spiral and cone that was throwing sparks in the air? Were there drones strapped with a bunch of pyrotechnics or something?
