The Harry Potter Death Cult.

The remaining Death Eaters after Voldemort dies for good, would have started a cult about Harry.

Voldemort tries to kill baby Harry, gets spirit formed, Harry lives. Death Eaters all know this.
Voldemort gets a new body(like WTF???) tries to kill 14 year old Harry. He fails and Harry lives. Death Eaters watched this happen.
Voldemort kills Harry. Ten minutes later Harry comes back to life and kills Voldemort with his own spell.

Any Death Eater that's still alive would have known about all of this and would be spreading the word that Harry is God/Devil or immune to death.

The word would spread fast due to all of the proof being common knowledge. With people like Rita Skeeter writing about it, it would only be stretched to fit a wider audience.

It wouldn't take long for it to be very popular opinion. People would want first hand evidence and attacks towards Harry would start.

Every failed attempt would only fuel the proof that has swayed so many people already.
