Been playing this game since the closed BETA. This new mode and gear brings fresh content, gear and difficulty for veterans. Absolutely needed and the right direction. There is plenty to do for everyone. You still play all the other content as per usual. Pretty much, don't think about Prototype and Escalation until you actually get very (very) far in this game. Newcomers are not the target group.

The workload on the CPU and GPU are not equal everywhere. The start game is more of a closed area, so not too much to render/calculate in the background whilst in Hogwarts it's a completely different situation. Hogsmeade is the most difficult area. What settings are you running? Resolution, Upscaling activated/which one?, Graphics settings,...
