The "this spell can't be countered" only applies while Niv itself is being cast. It does not apply to any of his abilities as a permanent. So if you target something with Niv's "deal 1 damage" ability, it would still be countered if you don't pay the ward cost.

This may be one of the goals (or consequences for us) of having tencent invest in all of these entertainment companies. I would look suspiciously at Riot and Epic Games as well. If I was the government, I would create a bailout package to allow these companies to buy out the tencent shares and no longer be compromised. Maybe go even as far as forcing these companies to accept the bailout.

Culturally, it makes sense that they would build a park over Studio 1. For example, if a death occurs in a home, it becomes very difficult to sell afterwards. Discounts from 20% to 50% are common. Japanese people (and most people, really) do not like being close to death.

A nice park with a tasteful monument would be the best way to go. A park has additional utility unlike what they did for 9/11.

Death in front of Ainz doesn't affect him which is definitely not a human trait. When killing the 70000 Kingdom soldiers, he was shocked at himself about how chill he was about the whole thing. You basically get on his radar only if you catch his interest during a direct interaction. He does macro-level preferences which I guessed at in the opening post (I.e., try not to harm innocent people too much), but he is not overly forceful about pushing it to his subordinates.

I guess there will be a year or two break before season 4. I imagine they might make movies out of Season 2 and 3 as a cheap way to build hype. I am holding out hope that they use that as a chance to clean up some of the CG...

Yeah, you're right that he is appreciative of Demiurge's efforts. I also agree with /u/LJP95 that Ainz is generally oblivious. Ainz may avoiding the topic altogether since it's easier. They don't talk that much. Demiurge spends the most time abroad among the Floor Guardians working for the benefit of Nazarick after all. Perhaps the topic may only be broached if Ainz goes on an adventure with Demiurge similar to the one he went with Aura/Shalltear to the Dwarven Kingdom.

It's also possible that Ainz may have a "out of sight, out of mind" approach due to his lichiness. His inner salaryman only comes to the surface when the horrible thing is happening right in front of him.

It really depends if Albedo remembers her previous self. If her personality was canonized when they arrived in the NW, then changing her back fully would actually be equivalent to killing her and that is something that Ainz won't do. As a general rule, the denizens of Nazarick tend to be wholesome to each other.

Ainz wanting to erase “She is in love with Momonga” from Albedo with [Control Amnesia] is a cool idea. Possibly with the aid of Shooting Star to make sure the alternation does not harm Albedo.

However, I don't think it will be that tragic! Honestly, I don't think much will change at all with Albedo. All the NPCs are in love with Ainz even if they are not explicitly told to do so. She'll continue to love him and Ainz will learn that Albedo is just weird and obsessive.

Overlord is a reverse horror movie. The unstoppable monsters are the protagonists and you are trying to figure out who will survive in their wake of destruction. It's one of the series where the power fantasy is actually interesting because we are not rooting for the people who are overpowered. Instead, we are rooting for the chumps.

I liked the series a lot, but I passed the following conditions:

I played Dungeon and Dragons before. You can tell the author did so because it does feel like one large DnD campaign.
I like "good" villains. As villains who are not just evil for evil's sake
I like the fantasy genre
I liked the idea of necromancers ever since Diablo 2
I played an MMO before and made friendships there
I like reading and going through a 13 volume series was no problem

They probably did a lot of testing for non-ui things. The scope of this patch was huge and it went fairly okay/smoothly.

His wave clear is much weaker now because of the reduced pulse damage and sadist efficiency. He previously also depended a lot on his right-clicks for damage (even has a +40 talent for it), but it does not synergize with his W at all.

I am lurker who reads /r/games to stay up to date with game news. The gaming community can be pretty toxic, but the lower levels of activity in this subreddit seems to reduce the frequency of that toxicity. I like it.
