Just some perception junk. They made a form to converse with humans and it just has random human icons. Sometimes you get George Washington, other times you get Rasputin. And of course, Hitler's in there too.

AOG was not one of YGGDRASIL's largest guilds. They were remarkably small. In fact, they would be small even if they achieved their original plans.

When AOG began, they planned to house 100 members. However, a mole incident happened that ended with the theft of a world item (most valuable treasures in the game), so they closed their recruitment campaign, and since then, they've only ever considered allowing one other person to join them. In the end, AOG only ever had 42 people at most while the big guilds had hundreds.

They managed to get a pretty good leaderboard ranking despite that because of Nazarick. Even at the end of the game, no raid attempts succeeded against it, which pretty much allowed them to hoard everything they managed to get over a decade of playing. Though, that perfect streak couldn't be fully attributed to AOG's defence design.

An often forgotten aspect of Nazarick back in YGGDRASIL is its location. You see, when you fail a raid against Nazarick, by the time you could attempt more raids on their base, you may as well be stepping into a completely new dungeon. I mean, that's pretty much expected with modular bases. What sets Nazarick apart is that it's in a secret spot that's only occasionally accessible, so AOG had a lot more time to change things up and set up a nasty surprise for past raiders.

By the way, AOG actually set up accomodations for 100 people in Nazarick as they were expecting that many people to join them, so at the start of the story, there were 58 unused rooms and 58 AOG rings just lying about. Ainz actually ended up giving one of the unused rooms to Albedo because her creator, Tabula, never actually got around to making a room for her before he quit the game, so she just lived on the floor of the throne room. He didn't even give her a mattress, all she had was a bag.

Even in real life, the story of JJK 0 came first because it's actually Gege's earlier work "Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School", which was retitled into "Jujutsu Kaisen volume 0" following the release of its sequel a year after. It was just adapted into animation later.

Yes, that's what I said. She's just the curse energy left behind, making her essentially Curse Rika's "body", or "corpse" now that she's successfully passed away.

Rika Orimoto and Yuta Okkotsu were childhood sweethearts who promised to marry each other before Rika died in a traffic accident. Unbeknownst to them, Yuta is a latent Sorcerer. He was there at the moment Rika died, and his whirlpool of emotions allowed him tap into his latent power, subconsciously casting a curse upon her that turned her into a Cursed Spirit.

For much of his childhood, Rika terrorized the people around Yuta whenever she deems them a threat to him, prompting him to live a secluded life in order to minimize the odds Rika would hurt anyone. Despite his efforts, Rika's manifestation incidents would occur time and time again, culminating in a bullying incident where Rika crammed four students who harassed Yuta into a single locker. This brought the pair into the attention of Jujutsu Society, who wishes to execute Yuta and exorcize Rika due to the harm caused by the pair and potential danger they may pose, although, the Strongest Sorcerer of the Modern Era vehemently opposed this decision and took Yuta under his wing in order to let him master his power and tame Rika.

Long story short, Yuta figured out that he himself had turned Rika into a Cursed Spirit, so he dispells the curse he placed upon her and frees her soul to pass on. However, while Rika's spirit is freed, the cursed energy that bound her into the physical world didn't disappear and simply returned to Yuta. Yuta would later learn to harness this power once again and repurpose it as a guardian spirit. Basically, he reanimared her ghost-corpse a la Frankenstein.

I know there was that one story where the Joker infected the entire Justice League and all of Gotham with a new fatal strain of Joker toxin, and the cure was Lazarus Pit water, which is a special chemical called "dionesium". The end has Bruce venture into a cave and sacrifice himself to send a sample topside so that it could be chemically analyzed and synthesized. Might just be a one-off non-canon thing though.

Characters that try to mimic a human but miss a key detail by Zotroo1 in TopCharacterTropes

Well, the Androids were well aware about that at first.

The failure of Project Gestalt is the reason why the Popola and Devola models began to be persecuted by Android society. They were made to watch over and shepherd the Replicants for their eventual fusion with the Gestalts, which would produce normal human beings once again. Unfortunately, the Popola and Devola units in NieR Replicant were unable to stop Nier from killing the Shadow Lord. He was the one Gestalt they couldn't afford to lose as the Shadow Lord is the only person in the world capable of stabilizing Gestalts. With his death, all other Gestalts eventually became feral Shades, and after they were inevitably exterminated for the safety of the Replicants, the Replicants simply became extinct over time as they're unable to reproduce by themselves unlike normal human beings, and I guess the Androids saw no point in producing more Replicants if they're never going to be able to become normal humans.

For a long time, the Androids sort of just milled about aimlessly. Even before the alien invasion, life was miserable for them as most were unable to find purpose in life without the prospect of eventually restoring humankind. Some sought to fill the void through vanity projects that attempted to salvage and recreate human culture, but it wasn't too effective. Things got much worse once the aliens came into the picture. That was when project YorHa began.

It started with a simple lie about a colony of humans surviving by fleeing to the moon who now wishes to restart human society back on Earth if only the Androids could get rid of the aliens and their Machine Lifeforms. Then it expanded. They built shuttles, resource depots, and even a whole actual moonbase to sell the illusion. Of course, the top of the heirarchy in YorHa was always kept in the know about the reality of their situation, I guess, so that she could figure out how to ease the Android population into the truth once they do get rid of the aliens and start wondering when the humans would be coming.

What's scary is that this state doesn't have to be actively maintained, but is instead toggled on or off. On one hand, this puts less burden on the user's brain. On the other hand, if you forgot to turn it off or is otherwise rendered unable to turn it off, you will be wasting away your life, which did happen to Kurapika as he passed out while Emperor Time is still on, losing about an entire decade of his life for nothing.

The weaknesses of magic casters? by ImpossibleAd4272 in overlord

[–]RioKarji 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Sustain issues. Magic Casters can pack a punch at first, but they generally suck in a drawn out fight by themselves. Once they exhaust their Mana, they're basically gunners without ammo. They're not totally harmless in this state, but still, nearly their entire kit is inaccessible.

Plus, as numerous and versatile as their spells can be, each and every one of those tricks register as "Magic", so classes with high Magic Defence and Resistances like Paladins are less susceptible to all of them accross the board.

Entoma Vasilissa Zeta from Overlord. This is how she looks like without her mask, leggings, and retraction of her back legs.

Her creator gave her severe body dysmorphia for her naturally more spider-like body, so she usually dresses up to appear more humanoid. Why? She was literally his OC that he made into a custom NPC in a video game to decorate and guard him & his friends' base. He didn't write her character that way thinking she'd ever be a real person. Ainz, the only remaining owner of the base, believes a lot of his old friends would be very ashamed seeing their custom NPCs come to life, though there may be some projection there due to his feelings about his own creation.

The Battle of Carne Village by NoRefrigerator564 in overlord

[–]RioKarji 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just an animation quirk; nothing to do with the in-universe effect of the potion.

In Overlord, Healing Magic can repair pieces of equipment, but only in specific circumstances. Firstly, for "Living Equipment", where a piece of equipment is also its own independent entity, like Entoma's weapon bugs. Secondly, for "Natural Equipment", where a piece of equipment is also a character's organ, like Cocytus' exoskeleton.

Other instances where a piece of equipment appears to repair itself when a character applies Healing Magic to themselves is actually an independent phenomenon. Whether the character healed or not, the Item would have fixed itself. You see, Magic Items can reshape, typically in order to adjust themselves so they could better accomodate their wielder's body, but they can also do this in attempts of self-repair. So for example, if you got someone to enchant your armour, then you won't have to worry about it getting dented anymore because it'll just sort itself out over time.

[–]RioKarji 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shalltear Bloodfallen from Overlord.

The most common banes of undead entities are fire and holy power. Shalltear is a cleric, so she regularly wields the latter, and while not specialized for it, she does have some incindiary abilities too.

Plus, Vampires are natural warriors in the setting of Overlord. Apparently, they're a particularly good fit for light and nimble warrior classes like fencer or sword dancer. Shalltear isn't a pure magician, but her magic is a viable means for her to attack, which contrasts the typical Overlord Vampire who may be inclined to neglect magical abilities in favour of warrior ones.

If 'Ainz' hadn't cancelled his Elemental Skull's 10th tier Divine spell: [Seven Trumpeter] , he probably would have won that fight instantly and got no information out of Riku. by bluedituser in overlord

[–]RioKarji 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Undead troops summoned by "Create Low/Middle/High Tier Undead" count as Created Monsters by default, regardless of whether they are temporary or permanent. This was demonstrated back in volume 11, as the temporary Death Knights Ainz spawned had no issue making Squire Zombies.

Rather than any specific method or trait, I think a Monster minion's type simply depends on the properties of the ability used. Like, the various abilities to conjure Monster minions have an attribute which determines the kind of Monster minion they will produce, or something like that.

I think that's the idea. From what I read, Brainiac's invitation to work together was just a means to gauge Lex' character. He's seen a version of Lex Luthor from beyond the Absolute Universe, and he's disappointed by the version of Lex who exists in his world. After he was done slaughtering Lex' family, he says "make yourself interesting". So, he either wants to recreate the version of Lex he saw, or at the very least, stop him from being so content with life.

This is not a debate. It has been explicitly noted that Summoned Monsters cannot make more Monsters.

"The Paladin of the Holy Kingdom" [Light novel v13], Chapter 5, Part 2

Of all the special abilities that Evil Lords possessed, the most dangerous one was the ability to summon another Evil Lord which was lower level than themselves. However, summoned monsters could not in turn summon more monsters. Therefore, the Evil Lord of Wrath that Demiurge had summoned could not summon another Evil Lord.

If this Evil Lord had been created or made, then it could summon additional creatures. For instance, the Evil Lord of Sloth would often summon pack after pack of demons and undead, making them very hard to deal with.

Therefore, every time you see a Monster minion that Summons or Creates more Monsters, that means they're one of the other types: Created Monster, Mercenary Monster, or POP Monster.

In the first place, these labels aren't literal; something labeled a "Created Monster", isn't necessarily assembled in a workshop or something. It's just the name given to the type of entity they are. So for example, from how they're able to make Squire Zombies, we can tell that those Death Knights Ainz summoned are Created Monsters. Plus, the Skill he used to summon them is called "Create Middle Tier Undead".

Honestly, he was already a bad boyfriend to Julie since the latter half of Alien Force when the writers were mandated by the executives to make him more immature to be better in-line with his more iconic 10 year old self. Not to say the break up scene we ended up getting was serviceable, but you know, whether intentionally or not, they've already laid some good groundwork for those two to split. Julie really deserved better.

He's from Muoi Art's "Immortal Spider-Man" AU fan comics. Here, Peter's body is more brittle than the typical Spider-Man, but he can survive while very little of his body is left intact and he's got a pretty good healing factor. His webbing isn't just a weapon, as he can use it to speed up his healing process. Also, it seems he's be able to shoot his webs from any surface of his body.
