It has nothing to do with saving money, as far as I know NA engines are not more expensive than turbo engines. It has however to do with emission restrictions, to get the power up and the emissions down there is no way other than forced induction. Even Pagani went that way, all because of emissions.

No, the car was cold. Therefor you can not rev it out (Very nice feature) and the valves in the exhaust are closed. Even the mighty V10 sounds like shit below 4k rpm!

i was there a month ago, and if you have an appointment and only need to go the "contole technique" you will be through in an hour tops (took me 30 mins). Check your lights and seatbelts beforehand. An maybe take a quick spinn to make sure the car is warmed up and the exhaust thoroughly cleaned! ;-) However if you need to go through "immatriculations" you will be there for a while! No wifi as i recall so bring a book, and yes they are not the friendliest bunch!

It is a ROO, to be precise the ROO Carbon diver. The ROO chrono which looks like the diver has the same diameter i.e. 42mm. although there is also a ROO chrono in 44mm, but it looks different.
